I am right handed person but I am a natural mirror writer😊I just tried once inspired by Leonardo da vinci & I am surprised that I could write well in my first attempt😁

Most people are very surprised by their first attempts. The only thing is they can't register the writing unless they look at it in the mirror.

I am 76 and found I could mirror write naturally without practice in my late teens or early 20’s, don’t remember exactly. Intuitively I’ve known there is more to it than meets the eye. You have captured it and expressed it well. Now, did you know it can apply to playing the piano? Of course it requires a left handed piano or keyboard. If you search for Christopher Seed on KZbin you will find him playing a special left handed piano he had made. Now a days, with electronic keyboards and computers, left handed keyboards are possible, too.
@DieyenDualPen4 жыл бұрын
Oh that is quite interesting! I never thought of inverting a piano. The task already seemed very ambidextrous. Thanks so much for sharing your experience and your patronage. Happy holidays!
@ddziegler444 жыл бұрын
@@DieyenDualPen There is another pianist on KZbin name Geza Lozo who started a left handed piano school and produces left handed sheet music. Yes, playing the piano is somewhat ambidextrous but the whole with the left handed piano is that if gives the lefties the opportunity to use their dominant hand for the more complicated melody staffs.

That's very cool. Im going to have to check him out. Thanks!

I am left-handed and when I tried writing with my right hand for fun I realized that I could easily and naturally write in reverse from right to left with my non dominant right hand with no practise at all
@DieyenDualPen Жыл бұрын
Very cool! Its ergonomically more effective to switch that and write mirror left handed and traditional right handed. But either way increasing dexterity with the opposite hand I believe is good for your brain. Have fun!

Love the way you control the short circuit the brains frustration and allow it to meditate to a mode relaxation . There is a definite showing of cautioning in the left hand writing direction . It reminds me of art being copied on a paper with the visualized picture being copied turned upside down and the artist trying to duplicate it rightside up . By only using lines & shapes to identify because the whole picture becomes obsolete and a loss of complete visualization of the proper form . . It's confusing to the mind until there becomes a point of surrendering and allowing a feeling of meditation to take hold which is to cause the anguish to subside . Great presentation . My only question is ? When this style of memorization if it is applied are you able to read the reversed writing without a mirror ? In order to read your own work ? Or do you need a mirror to interpret the script ? I truly believe Leonardo may been able to read his own reverse writing without the aid of a mirror . Repetition , is like practice makes perfect . I believe Leonardo had to first memorize the alphabet in reverse in order to write this way with a comfortable of letters grouped together to form his opinion . Either that or he destoryed the originals written correctly and only keep the information that was revised in order to not be persecuted as a heretic by the Pope. Thanks for presentation .

Yes I can read the mirror writing quite easily now. I learned to write first and then learning to read it came second. You talk about memorizing the letters but I think it's a kin to visualizing the letters and then being to manipulate their direction. Allows me to wrote backwards, upside down or upside down backwards. Thanks for your comment. Best of luck

I read and write backwards and it's just natural. When I was young and in high school we had "study hall" between classes and I wrote a sweetheart backwards so the teacher wouldn't catch on. You can hold it up to a mirror or read through the paper backwards.

I can mirror write upright, normal upside-down, and upside-down mirror... Cursive, naturally left-handed. Discovered it in my teens when I got bored at school and pissed with the smudges on my hand. I don't practice, and sometimes I forget for years that I can do it.

I am a natural mirror writer and I am left handed. I am apparently a very rare person because my parents are right handed and I have already said I am left 9.5 percent chance of happening. 15% of the world are left handed. 15% of left handed people can mirror write and read naturally🤷Real anomaly.

Very cool. There was a Greek era known as the Boustrophedon Era where they wrote forward, then the next line mirror, and so forth, and you would read back and forth down the stone. So, mirror and forward writing/ reading was necessary. I imagine back then literacy rates were lower, but I think everyone should learn both from a young age.
