I loved that part and that idea of just turning to God in everything, like a child who fell and got hurt or made a lego tower, "hey dad look at this!" Such an awesome beautiful insight. God wants YOU He wants your heart and you to just be honest with Him! God bless!

Saint Ignatius of Loyola recommended saying Jesus's name before you begin any activity throughout the day. That way, it reminds you of him, and helps you dedicate each activity to his glory.

Favorite quote from St. Francis de Sales: "Everyone needs at least 30mins a day to pray and meditate, except when you are busy - then a full hour is needed." ❤ This didn't quite make sense when I was younger. And now that I'm older with a better prayer life (still working on it though), I reflect upon this quote. And it is just pure wisdom 🙏❤🕊 Lovely video as always ❤

Remember that St Paul also worked as a tent maker. To pray without ceasing he must have offered his work as a prayer, perhaps to the one who would be sheltered by the tent. Most work is a service to others. We can dedicate our work as a prayer to the one who will ultimately be served by our work. This keeps God in our hearts and strengthens the community.

This is exactly what I struggle with. I am employed full time, plus I am in college. I pray every morning and evening, but I want more. I like your advice to follow Jesus' example of praying early in the morning, apart from others. I also like your advice to schedule our prayers and Scripture study first and all our other activities around that. God bless you!

I got the Hallow app it has improved my prayers greatly. I also listen to Bible in a year with Father Mike. I love the prayers in Hallow and right now we are doing the 30 day gospel challenge you could play on your iPhone while driving etc. I even put headphones on at work and listened and prayed and no one knew. I had to work on a computer all day and we were allowed to put headphones on. I need to pray more in the morning I find when I do I have a better day.

Danielle's tender expression and tone, while reminiscing over her children's early years when she was their first taste of God's love, reminds me that there are few, if any at all, better manifestations of God's love, than a mother's love for her children.

I have guilt in my heart because I have not been praying and thinking about God as often in comparison to 2 months ago. I have given God "arrow prayers", but longer prayers, reading the Bible and the Catechism, and other Catholic books are examples of what I have slacked on. I'm taking the steps to trying to get back into a consistent routine, just to devote myself to him. One true blessing I have received is that I will officially be confirmed into my Catholic church tomorrow morning and I am forever grateful for such an opportunity. I will officially be home! I will also invest in Danielle's book, since there are others recommending it! Great content as always!

"Prayer and worship, then, continue 'unceasingly day and night' in the sense that they are a part of our being, not something that we do or say or think, but something that we are...Prayer is our true nature...'[W]e must become prayer, be prayer, prayer incarnate'...[T]here is such a thing as implicit continual prayer...[I]t is still always there...[T]here are people who pray even when they are asleep...[T]his unceasing prayer of the heart is not so much 'our' prayer as the prayer of the Holy Spirit within us." -Met. Amen, Ifeoma. I just bought a new book that reminded me of this, so I want to quote it: "Noetic prayer is a priceless treasure...'[I]nterior prayer...[goes] on of its own accord ['self-acting prayer'/'unceasing inward prayer of the heart']...Not only when I was awake, but even during sleep'...['The Way of a Pilgrim']...It is a fact that...prayer is prayed unceasingly in the heart...[U]nceasing prayer, which is the soul's natural state, comes about by the energy [or 'activity'] of the All-Holy Spirit..."-Met. I have no excuse if i'm not doing my prayers. I'm age 66 I am retired I do my rosary in the mornings How do I drop off my kids at school and drop my wife off at her work I tried to make it consistent At the same time every day Sometimes I fall short like if I have a doctor's appointment or something like that but I tried to do my best . At to that I spent my time listening on youtube father mike on the different topics. That's what got me to come back to the church I was gone for eight years Did all my confessions taking the holy communion. Going to mass every sunday I've been back seven weeks now That was my biggest mistake and leaving your children The main thing now it's doing my Confessions on the regular basis. Going to mass every sunday on the Regular basis.

Prayer is being present. God is always present, we must be present willing to do his will. That is prayer. But ordinarily people need words, images to set that presence on. But they must be means to silence, to presence of the Trinity. If we fail to be in this presence we must gently come back to it as much as it is necessary. Doing everything with love, for God's sake... That's all!

@barblacy6193 жыл бұрын
No, keep it! use it as a reminder to say “For the sake of His sorrowful passion have mercy on (whomever you are going to call) “ that is a prayer too. One need not say the entire Chaplet. When you have a difficult encounter with someone or an uncharitable thought like when a politician ruffles your feathers, pray “Oh blood and water which gushed forth from the heart of Jesus have mercy on me and on (the person that frustrates you). Just use your beautiful screen to remind you. May God’s grace and peace fill you as you strive to do His will.

Ok - so I decided to do your suggestion: throughout my day I would thank God for all the little things (e.g., while weeding: thank you for giving us rain to allow the plants to grow or thank you for giving me a small yard where I can grow your beautiful plants). But by the end of the day, I didn't feel good at all - but rather I felt boastful or prideful - for having so many blessings. What did I do wrong?
@kierstenl.23693 жыл бұрын
There is no need to feel guilty for what God has done or given to someone. Recognizing all that He has given can somtimes be overwhelming, but if you direct it back to God and recognize one's absolute unworthiness for His grace it ought to help. It's not because of what we have done that He gives us grace and blessings, just remember that! 😊

Its weird advice to pray without ceasing because it could be likened to a narcissist needing you to talk non-stop about your problems, thereby encouraging you serve the narcissist's agenda of maintaining control, seeking validation, deflecting attention from their behavior, and obtaining emotional supply. It's essential to recognize and set boundaries with narcissistic individuals to protect your well-being and maintain healthy relationships. Sometimes you have to be quiet and just listen too. When we are always flapping our jaws and not being mindful about the content that comes out of our mouths, I think we can switch gods by making the devil bigger than God, like when we just pray continually about bad situations. Ever wonder why God sometimes has the need to say "Be still"?

Make the "Morning Offering" as soon as you wake up. "O My Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You all my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of Thy Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sin, and for the reunion of all people in the holy Catholic Church."
@pamkunz66193 жыл бұрын
Agreed - I do the same. But now I say a quick prayer when I wake up, just something short and heartfelt, also offer my day as a living sacrifice and invite Jesus to join me in my day. It works💝

Mother Teresa it is said, just said Good morning God. For me Bible time is somewhere in the afternoon. My morning prayer is a set of prayers. My bedtime prayer is to smile and say Thank you God. Your relationship is between you and the Almighty. Just pray and as Jesus advised, don’t be anxious. Your Father knows. Blessings on you and yours.

I love the Canticle of the Creatures (or Canticle of the Sun) by St. Francis, as my morning prayer at daybreak, as I'm getting out to the barn to take care.of my creatures. I love looking around at the beauty of the world at first light, listening to the birds, smelling rain on the air, watching the baby animals bumbling around the yard. I just stop for a few minutes and give thanks for all of it
