I have exb shocks and after rebuilding them, the diaphragm keeps moving when I tightening the cap. Any idea?
@RoadsideRC3 жыл бұрын
The shock must be too full of oil. Make sure that diaphragm is seated really well before putting the cap on.

@@RoadsideRC The diaphragm is seated well and the shock is really full. It seems that there is vacuum , the diaphragm is pumped into the shock body when I pull the shaft down.

It will do that if the cap is not tight. It should create vacuum when you pull the shaft down.

My shaft sheared off at both ends simultaneously. I'm not sure how I managed to pull that off. I'm not sure how I'm going to get the broken thread stubs extracted either. It looks pretttty unlikely.

Oh man. That is crazy. Good luck with the rebuild!
@derpydane Жыл бұрын
@@RoadsideRC it turned out I was wrong. Once I got it apart (thanks) I realized it sheared off at the small end, and the shaft had gotten shoved all the way up inside the shock body. Easier to fix than I thought. It really amazes me that you can just rebuild the shocks on these things. Mine is the 4S version, but it's still a very robust little truck!

I heard drilling out the pistons in shock stop the shocks shafts from bending as the little piston holes don't let enough fluid through and it locks the shock up hence the shaft bending,or use thinner oil, do some research mate arrma forums, off course a bad landing from height will bend most shafts these trucks are big and heavy
