Iv got a 2012 Sno Pro 800 and you're right. They're still kicking ass. I'm replacing my clutch right now. The whole primary is waisted

I don't get why primary clutches seem so ancient. I have a 2016 zr 8000 trail sled with ~12000 miles and have been through 3 sets of weights and 1 spider. I watched a video on the powerbloc 80 clutch and was amazed at how simple it and compact it was. Why are manufactures still making these clutches so cumbersome and outdated? Is this really the best there is? I use the same style of weight that you just bought, but from bikeman. I get 4000 mi out of a set and they work really good! I beat the snot out of my sleds, but I would check the weights every single season, if you find any wear at all make sure to replace them. The weight is very thin around the magnets and I wouldn't want to imagine what would happen if a weight were to snap.

should the weights move freely ? This is on 2008 M1000 . torqued through bolts to 10 ft pounds.

So happy I waited for the 22 fall release to get the adapt clutch!! So much nicer and bottom end grunt from the adapt, surprised you didn’t get a adapt

So, i have this kit in my 13 m8 with the team clutch that i also bought from BDX/SSI along with the same kit. Keep an eye on those magnets, they vibrate out and they crack, throwing off the balance. I'm always checking them and thinking about switching kits to something that doesn't use those magnets.

I would be ordering a replacement clutch to have in hand. Those will blow apart sooner or later. They do work pretty decent, but tend to crack eventually.

How have the SSI magnet weights help up? I had one in my 2016 and found the magnets actually broke and fell out…

Are you able to replace the roller bearing that is on the shaft between the sheaves? The one on mine seems to have gone bad

Hey Matt or anyone in this comment section know any companies that make upgraded idler bearings for the adapt clutch’s? The one in my 20’ lasted less than 1000 miles and now the one on my ‘23 is on its way out at 2000 miles, I think the washers on each end is the root of the problem. Thanks In advance to anyone with any recommendations and info appreciated it👍🏻

I figured you would have used Dalton weights for your team primary

Mine failed at 1300 miles. It's sticking and won't disengage. Takes high rpms to engage. I've tried to clean it but I can't get it to operate smoothly. Have to buy a new one now :(

What would be the most likely suspect for hard hitting off the start?

What kinda sled? Usually a high engagement is caused by a stiff spring could also be a loose belt or a clutch roller hanging up
