This is what all how-to videos should be like. Steady camera, clear voice, no excessive rambling about unrelated topics and confident knowledge of the subject. As an added bonus that was the same snowblower I'm trying to fix. Good job and thanks!

To replace some old primer line, I found some rubber 5/32" ID Windshield Washer Tubing at Canadian Tire. It fits well on the primer bulb and the carb fitting. I also realised from these Internet videos that the primer bulb base can just be pried out of the metal cover. No need to remove all the engine head bolts that are holding the cover on! Thanks for the videos, they are VERY informative.

I used similar rubber hose someone had bought from an auto parts store. Just cut it with a pair of scissors and it stays on at both ends not like the original which was 40 years old. Mine has the primer bulb on the heater box yours must be the 1980s version that has it on the blower housing.

I have a H35 I picked up. It was sitting outside for awhile. After your videos the engine ran mint (points needed cleaning). Then it started loosing power after an hour and the carb would spit and back fire. Adjustments did not do much. I re cleaned the carb but not much help. I pulled the new spark and it was covered with black. Any suggestions? After I cleaned the plug it won't even start now. I was starting with 1-2 pulls.

I had to rebuild the tecumseh carbb on my Ariens 8526. There was no needle valve seat in it when I took it apart. I didn't put the one from the kit in. The snowblower runs really rough now and I am wondering if the lack of the seat could be the problem.

I've got the Toro 5/24 and it's been leaking gas, dripping slowly off the nut on the bottom of the carb. Got a repair kit and replaced the cover and bottom nut seals. Still get gas dripping. As it turns out its not from either seal but from the opening on the carb behind the 2 screws on the side of the cover. Maybe this is the air intake? Not sure. This is my first endeaver into an engine of any kind. Engine starts and runs fine. But the dripping gas is bothersome. Any ideas? Thanks.

Great videos I watched from part 1 to part 3 for the rebuild of the Tecumseh carburetor.The engine started to run for a little ,but gas was coming out, of it looks like above the bowl .What did I do wrong?
@raymckegney352612 жыл бұрын
Wasn't the float. As it turns out it was the tiny vent hole near the primer hole had been plugged. Didn't even know it was there, so small. If the carb can't vent as gas enters the bowl, the float can't lift to raise the pin to close off the incoming gas. The gas overflows out from the air intake opening. Took a bread bag twist tie, removed the paper, took the wire and poked it into that tiny hole. The carb no longer leaks gas. The hole may have gotten plugged when wiping down the housing.

Hi Donyboy73 gotta say first off thanks for sharing your knowledge and sharing your gift with everyone. I have a craftsman tecumseh 5HP that uses 632107 carb and I was wondering if a 632334 carb would work on that engine.? Also the person I picked it up from removed the rubber cover and air mixture screw from the non adjustable carb completely. Would this cause the surging I am experiencing or could it be something else messed up in the carb?

5 HP Tecumseh had 120 psi compression, now has decent spark after cleaning the coil contacts on flywheel and reseting coil distance to magnets. Still no ignition, even after spraying starting fluid directly into engine spark plug opening or directly into air intake. Suggestions?
@Baileygeep79 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't recommend doing this, but I had a new replacement float that came with a defective solder seam and after putting it on a low heat stove burner to dry it internally, it resoldered itself, never thought low would get that high.

Question? Do you know how well the aftermarket carburetors work on Toro snowblowers? I can get a complete bolt on carburetor for around $15- $20 online depending on manufacturer and my local Toro/Tecumseh dealer wants a little over $20 just for a few parts in the rebuild kit.. my Toro sat for a few years in a storage and the carb walls built up a lot of hard corrosion that looks really time consuming to clean out. Seems logical to just purchase the new ready to go carb for the same price if they work as well as the oem.. thanks for your time and video was great

Hey Dony, I'm helping my father rebuild his carb off a 5hp tecumeh snowblower. I think his issue with surging stems from a pitted fuel bowl under the "O" ring area. I viewed your video about pitted fuel bowls and the problems that can be created as a result of this. I want to replace the fuel bowl, but cannot find one anywhere with the drain screw. Do I need this drain feature or can I use #631867. If I do need this feature, could you tell me where I might be able to locate one? Thanks!!
