How to Recognize a True Teacher?

In our modern times, spirituality is a lot about the appearance of things or about eloquent words but it is easy to overlook the authenticity of the teachings, by giving to much weight to these phenomena that belong to the mind and not to reality.
The truth, the peace and the love is beyond appearances and words. It doesn’t really matter how it looks like, how it talks, what matters is whether meeting (satsang) with the teacher, can foster clarity in understanding and reveal the "peace that passes understanding" in us.
