Great video. One question. The DJI RC remote controller has Bluetooth to connect to a Bluetooth headset. If I do screen Recording, the microphone from the headset does not get recorded. Do you know why and is there a setting to enable the mic from the Bluetooth headset to record? Many thanks

Thanks! You know I actually don’t know the answer to that question but it’s definitely got me interested. Gonna try playing around with a headset and some different settings to see.

Hey Bruce! Glad you enjoyed the video and welcome to the world of drones and video editing. Yup, using this technique you can take the audio clip and drone footage , bring them into your NLE program (non-linear editing program) of choice, and be able to align the clips by lining up the clap with the spike in audio.

I use the phone to fly the drone. Does the mic have to be hooked up to the phone?

If you’re using the Zoom F2 or another standalone recording device you will not need to use your phone with it (other than connecting to Bluetooth to make sure you’re good on memory/battery). That’s one of the advantages of a standalone recording device.

What editing software did you use to pair the audio to the drone footage?

I personally used Final Cut Pro X but any desktop editing software like Premiere Pro or Davinci Resolve should work including CapCut for desktop which is free.
