Never tried consolidating my recordings. Definitely will put that to use! Is there a something in the vocal chain where I can eliminate white noise before recording? (bedroom producer without the best treatment)
@FireWalkMusic3 жыл бұрын
If your mic is picking up noise then you can either record with less gain to make it less sensitive. The best option would be to filter out the noise afterwards, either using a noise gate or by making a noise profile and eliminating the noise that way. If it's a static sound then this generally works quite well. I have a video about how to easily remove noise from recordings here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zp-YkqmLaMyVq6c

I wonder why I can't run buffer under 512 in fl but in cubase my pc can handle 48 buffer rate. Recording guitar is hard with high buffer
@FireWalkMusic3 жыл бұрын
Hi, there could be a number of things causing this. Most likely it's related to your settings. Follow the steps in this video to make sure that FL Studio is as optimized as possible with regard to your CPU: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYi8nqStl5yVas0
@melofluent3 жыл бұрын
@@FireWalkMusic Thanks the problem is probably my guitar vst as it is old 32 bit vst from 2009 so the bridging takes up cpu
@FireWalkMusic3 жыл бұрын
@@melofluent make sure smart disable is on for all plugins, that all VSTs are routed to mixer tracks and so on. Try using asio4all or the one that came with your audio interface instead of the fl studio one. In the worse case You'll have to temporarily turn off VSTs and effects so that you can record. Especially master effects will tend to slow things down quite a bit.

Hi, Great tutorial. I have FL Studio producer version and I'm trying to record vocals for the first time. The vocal records fine. But it also records all the tracks onto a new track. I can also hear my own voice in my earphone which is also delayed. I have double checked my settings several times, like record external input only and monitor external input is set to "off." they match yours. Have you encountered this before? Is there a quick fix?

I came in with this problem where all of vocals has been lost due to my laptop being cleaned out and fixed due to my storage being full. I would want to avoid this in the future please do you have a better idea or way where I should save with a tutorial video. Thanks

@@lintojoevarghese104 I don't have any first hand experience with the keystatoin mk3, but from what I can see they seem to have very similar specs. Is there a way to set FL ASIO to a buffer length lower then 256? Asio4All don't work well with my equipment and FL ASIO is the only driver that I can use input and output from different hardware.
@FireWalkMusic3 жыл бұрын
256 seems to be the lowest when using the FL Studio ASIO driver. Possibly because it's a "hybrid" driver. You can still hear your system volume when using it. It doesn't take full control of your sound card like the driver that typically comes with your sound card. I recommend using whatever comes with your sound card. If I use my Saffire ASIO driver then I can use 128

How to record on iPhone and put in fl studio ?
@FireWalkMusic3 жыл бұрын
If you recorded something on Iphone then make sure you record it in a format that's supported, like WAV or MP3, and then just copy the file to your computer afterwards. You can then simply drag the file into the playlist in FL Studio.

@SUSACCA Knowsit Hi, there are so many ways to make basslines in various genres that it will be difficult to make a video that covers everything. I do have videos about the most common types of bass lines in trance music for example. So I'll probably stick to one genre at a time. :)
@FireWalkMusic3 жыл бұрын
@SUSACCA Knowsit Basslines can be hard. They usually differ from genre to genre. In trance music for example you can either use a typical off-beat bass, or a more rolling bassline with much more movement. In most genres, the simple one-note off-beat bass is quite common, but perhaps a bit simple and boring. In tropical house and such, you'll often have a sustained but sidechained sinewave in the background, and perhaps a more moving bassline on top, which more or less follows the melody (as seen in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXzYnKVjYpyHodU )
@FireWalkMusic3 жыл бұрын
@SUSACCA Knowsit Hi, I see. I might just make a video about that. The trick is to find a bassline that is nice and driving, and work well with the lead melodies, but doesn't interfere with them. It should just support it nicely in the background. The sounds used also matters of course. You need to find sounds that complement each other too.
