The reason why it is channel 33 is because of the way the DIP switches are configured, by default, on the MADI-USB card. See 5.4.1: MADI-USB SET-UP in the Si Impact User Manual: DIP Switch 2: is the USB Out Range, which is set to 33-64 by default.

By default, Stageboxes (remote snake heads) use 1-32 and the usb uses channels 33-64.

its because 1-32 will be the madi inputs from the digital stagebox ( snake )

hi, I'm a video guy so I hope I am asking this question right. Is the aes/ebu in the back of this mixer always on (or live), or do you have to map audio to it?. Can't seem to get any signal from that port into a video switcher with an aes/ebu input.
