Wondering if the Sony Tough SD cards would pose a problem in recovery because they are encased in a very hard epoxy coating? The cards cannot be pried apart like other SD cards.

I think how they built on data management level would be a bigger concern than epoxy. Heat can make epoxy come off with a scrapper. LDPC algorithm is a much bigger problem that remains unsolved, and many new devices have it

Hi Erkin, greetings from Poland! I'm really curious as to what other equipment is used to recover data from flash drives. Is PC3000 the only one used? Or are there other brands that make flash recovery hardware too? Are you using their hardware? If not, why? (I'm talking about chip-off recovery mostly)

There are 3 flash extractor, Rusolut, and PC3000 flash. We use all 3 when needed. Rusolut is based in Warsaw by the way. Each tool has its pros and cons. Having all 3 solves that problem.

@@hddrecoveryservices hi. It seems like the file names are still visible for a few frames. I think KZbin only allows editing aligned to seconds, not frames.

Compressed Can When Sprayed Cools The Device to a level so that NAND data can be corrected ,Also hot air can be used to do the reverse ,but do not cook the poor chip too much

Hi Erkin. Small question. Do you have any knowledge with Pinout discovery???. If yes. Can you make a video on that???
@hddrecoveryservices
@hddrecoveryservices Жыл бұрын
hey, we are working on something that will be amazing once it is out. NAND protocol has a sequence of waveforms, if you know how to read waveforms and arrange these signals into a proper sequence, you can get the pinout. Acelab has a tutorial on their site I might do a follow along one day :) I am just so crazy busy right now especially after the FL trip. Sorry I only saw your message when I got back, I would have hit you up for sure.

How long do flash drives last? What is your opinion on this
@hddrecoveryservices
@hddrecoveryservices 2 жыл бұрын
depends on type. SLC can last a long time, 3D NAND and QLC can last a month.
