How to Recover Roman Blinds Tutorial

I had roman blinds in my spare room that were in perfect condition but the colour was all wrong. I bought a fabric shower curtain on sale for $10, I used this to recover the blind.

I covered mine using blackout panels and a hot glue gun it worked great they look better than they did before. I didn't sew a thing and they were done in about 30 minutes. I glued the top, wrapped and sides and glued along each rib going across. I am never paying $$$ for new blinds every time my colour changes.

I’m going to try this too. I’ve got Roman blinds in a bay window. Apparently they were quite expensive and the window is a pain to fit coverings for. But I’m bored of the pattern on them. Maybe I can try this and revamp them.

Could you add iron on heming tape along the rod pockets to hold it in place and avoid sagging or using stitches?

I am doing this to 9 blinds looks pretty easy I may try a hot glue gun instead of the sewing. Thanks

I actually did some with hot glue, they don't look quite as finished but they are fine.

If your fabric isn’t hemmed, would you suggest folding it when starting to pin it? Do you only fold your fabric at the bottom of the blind or on all sides to cover the existing fabric?

I folded in all min in but didn't wrap the sides, just the bottom

Sorry, I have never done that but you could try with fabric, it would probably work if you glued the edges.
