I don't know what 'direct to LV pattern' means. What is LV?
@AWGEst-ib2qv
@AWGEst-ib2qv 7 жыл бұрын
I think evengelist robinson is asking if you know of a source to purchase fabric with the Louis Vuitton pattern (LV is short for Louis Vuitton). And, if you do know of a source, she'd like it if you could direct her to that source possibly through the source name, website, etc. At least, that's how I understand it....

Thank you SO much for this video, Jen! My cat got into my blinds and broke a few of them. I was about to buy new roman shades to replace them. But, I hated the idea of throwing out functional blinds out of vanity because I'm very conscious about the environment and participating in throw out culture. Now, I can fix the blinds AND make them more visually appealing AND I won't have to toss out the entire set of blinds! I'm beyond happy! I just hope this is as easy as you made it look....

Hi there, I am excited to try your tutorial but I have one question. I currently have faux wood blinds that do not have the cords that runs through the middle of each slate. It is so I can take the slates out and wipe them. Will it still work to turn these blinds into roman blinds .... we replaced our windows and the dark brown blinds no longer look good with white windows and trim. I appreciate your assistance.

Allie Hunter I watched another similar video that said after you have created the blind with the fabric that will face the interior, make panel of lining material, fold under the edges like the interior and glue it across the slats and around the perimeter of interior fabric. I’m going to try this with a smaller window before I tackle my master bedroom picture window.

I love this so much - thank you! Perfect for me with a house full of old levolor blinds! I want to be sure I understand. The way that I understood it is different than what the other gal said, so I might be confused. So, do you subtract 1/4" inch from the width and the height and then you add 2 inches to both of those measurements? So, if my window opening measures 24 x 48, I would calculate this way: 24 - 1/4 = 23.75 + 2 = 25.75 as final measurement? And, 48 - 1/4 = 47.75 + 2 = 49.75. Is this correct? Thank you so much - I can't wait to get started!

Vera Peeples I tried it actually, and it didn't work. My window was double-wide, and I think that in combination with fabric(s) that were too heavy made for disaster. The blinds bend and don't pull all the way up or even fold/lay nice. Rather than scrapping the entire thing I think I'm going to try gluing wood dowels to the blinds to see if they will help make them stronger. How did yours turn out?

Jennifer, how do you keep the bracket at the top that holds the blind from showing. When you glue the fabric at the top do you not glue the corners and pull the fabric out over the bracket?
@JenniferStagg
@JenniferStagg 9 жыл бұрын
Stacy McKee-Redden I cut a little slit in the fabric so we could slide it into place, but still cover the bracket. Does that make sense? I hope so!
@CookieZ3353

+Jennifer Stagg So you just glue the fabric to the top of the top of the blind so that when you slip it in the holder hardware the fabric covers it and it's flush to the sides of the window opening.
