Cool now we just need to have the parts actually available through a company

I doubt this will ever make sense to do on a household level.

It was a lot of work. I am happy it is finally working. Will we have to wait for Bambu Lab or Prusa to release a tabletop consumer version for the rest of us?
@ThatGuy-mp9og3 сағат бұрын
They never will since they want you to buy more of thier own filaments

So cool, I would LOVE to have that set up!

awesome! i'm glad it's finally working mostly smoothly! are you still getting fairly uniform filament width, or do you have to tune the artme each & every time?

Nice work. I follow a similar process , just after grinding using a magnet to get rid of the metal chips and mixing with 30% new pellets (in this case PLA) and then you get a smooth, imperfections-free surface" . ✌️

cool, but isn't there a way to just directly print with the crushed up plastic?
@michaelbujaki24627 сағат бұрын
If your printer is big enough then yes. However, some of us have small printers.

@michaelbujaki2462 there are pellet extruders that can be added to any fdm printer

You look a little crazed like Gene Wilder there… the end result of your efforts? 😊
@brianlofton24898 сағат бұрын
This is the OPPOSITE of “I know someone who can do it cheaper”! 😂
@polakuu2 сағат бұрын
nah I'm good, I'll rather send it to a company that recycles PLA/PETG

too much trouble for the cost vs savings

How much time and money have u spent to save money on a fairly cheap product anyways. The time and effort u r putting in to make a home made filament that probably has another set of problems to get it to print properly. WHY ???,It will probably take 5 years to make your investment back.
