How to Reduce Bad Estrogen: Try these 3 Vegetables- Thomas DeLauer… You know, estrogen is kind of like those Sour Patch Kids commercials. First it's like really, really bad, and then they're also really, really good. Honestly, estrogen just gets a bad rap sometimes, but the fact is, that we do have to understand how estrogen truly is in the body and if we know how it works, then we can have a little bit more ... I guess respect for the good things it does in the body, but also have a lot more of a vengeance when it comes down to trying to get rid of the bad forms of estrogen.
What I'm going to do in this video is I'm going to explain the different kinds of estrogen. I'm going to give you three different kinds of vegetables that you can utilize that are a surefire way to help you out with removing estrogen out of your body or at least helping estrogen become the right kind of estrogen that can improve your life rather than hold you back.
The first thing we have to do is we have to take a look at the different kinds of estrogen in the body really quick. Again, estrogen is not all bad, but it's also not all good. You see, the good kind of estrogen is known as 2-Hydroxy estrogen. It's a very good estrogen. It actually helps support testosterone levels. It has powerful anti-cancer effects and it's also known as an antioxidant in general. Believe it or not, estrogen has the ability to be good, but more than likely, you are overrun with what is called 16-hydroxy and 4-hydroxy estrogens, things like estradiol.
These are the estrogens that are not good. These are the estrogens that actually wreak havoc on your body and believe it or not and this is all going to make sense in a second, your body views estrogens like 16-hydroxys and 4-hydroxy estrogens as toxins. It literally treats them as poisons. It has to send them to the liver and it has to process them just in the same way as if you were to drink a bottle of Windex. Not literally, but the fact is, your liver has to process it just like it's a poison.
What are some veggies that you can start consuming to take control of your estrogen levels? I'm going to give them to you. The first thing that you want to start focusing on is high amounts of cruciferous vegetables. This means broccoli, this means cauliflower, this means bok choy, it means Brussels sprouts. Quite honestly, they're the good-tasting vegetables that still have their anti-estrogen effects, even when you cook them. You see, they contain something known as DIM, diindolylmethane. It sounds like such a crazy, fancy name but it's really nothing that extravagant but its effect on estrogen is pretty darn powerful.
You see, it's derived from indole-3-carbinol, also known as IC3. You see IC3 works in conjunction with the liver. It helps the liver metabolize the negative attributes of estrogen through the up-regulation of what is called CYP1A2. This is a specific enzyme that honestly we don't have to go into a lot of detail about but it's an enzyme that is responsible for taking estrogen and sort of unboxing it and getting rid of the bad portions of it and leaving the good portions of it.
You see, this CYP1A2 enzyme is able to take the estrogens that would normally cause testosterone to turn into more estrogen and it's able to turn them into a kind of estrogen that can actually be advantageous for your overall healthy lifestyle.

Estradiol is not a bad estrogen. It is the most common ligand for estrogen receptor. I am close to finishing my PhD in Molecular Biology.... My thesis being estrogen receptor in endometrial cancer. Estradiol is the normal ligand both in breasts and the uterus... And it's the most common for estrogen receptor pathways in the body. Your natural metabolism converts cholesterol into estrogen.

At Adriana, Which one? The LDL, HDL or both? I bet you already know that LDL is a sticky substance that protects the vascular system when it is inflamed. Too much poly unsaturated fatty acids can cause that condition. Monosaturated fats are healthier. So LDL's are protective and HDL's washes away excess LDL's. Make the body more alkaline and that will allow the body's own DNA to repair itself. If the body is acidic, that condition drives off oxygen and that's not good. I have been suffering from astronomically high estradiol levels, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and have had Achilles tendonitis for 11 months now. I eat well regularly and I’ve tried to eat anti-inflammatory foods, have taken supplements , Stretching and therapy didn’t work. After consuming Spirulina Crunchies in raw form recently, I am so happy to report that my pain is 90% better! I’m so happy. I thank you so very much and I should be checking my estradiol levels to see if they’ve come down. I am someone who tries to eat right and exercise and it is devastating to gain weight after all the effort. I have hope that this will help me feel better. Thank you!

I don't really understand why so many people want to know your exact portions in either/both food and exercise. I do understand the need for a menu plan in order to manage one's time and attention span. But srsly, folks! We all have different bodies and metabolisms and individual issues. *_Be Your Own Scientist!_* That's part of the point of this channel. Try stuff and see how *_your own_* body _(and budget)_ responds. Once you find *_your own_* jam, lay down a track and run it for as long as it works. And always be ready to make adjustments and course-corrections when something changes. If you really don't have time for that, that's what Personal Coaches are for. Not public-access KZbin channels.

Dr. Rhonda Patrick states that sprinkling cooked cruciferous veggies with freshly ground mustard seed for it's myrosinase reactivates sulforaphane that upregulates the NRF2 pathway which has a whole host of benefits. Also Paul Stamets strongly advices against eating button mushrooms but would not divulge why (from his Rogan interview).

Good recommendation! But, portions should be determined by trial and error of noticeable symptoms, since portions is directly related to each individual. Understanding the symptoms of too much bad estrogen is a start to portions and its frequency. For instance, men would be observant to nipple sensitivity as an extreme symptom. I can't give any advice to women's symptoms, though.

Good one, Xune! Cannabis strains with high concentrations of the myrcene terpene (subscribers can just search for it in the strain's medical lab profile sheets), that was fed sulfur is also known to have extremely strong aromas of sulfur during the night cycle of its blooming phase. Post harvest, it has a strong clove like numbing effect and taste that is far greater than garlic. So strong that clove oil is not needed for tooth aches, nor is there a need for a dentist, hahaha

Thank you, Thomas for this most valuable info. After a radical hysterectomy in 2004 and years of horrendous side effects from literally being gutted, I found an N.D. who began prescribing compounded estrogen and testosterone, which made me feel like a normal person once again. I eat those foods mentioned in this video (aside from the spurlina which I will now purchase) regularly and am so grateful for the info regarding bad versus good estrogen, knowing that I am not now poisoning myself on another level by incorporating these foods. Keep up the good work. SO appreciate your guidance.

Good question! I can make a suggestion, and an experimental suggestion, for *men* that supplement with testosterone. Spirulina should not only be consumed at the same time as anti-aromatase, which is prior to and post testosterone administration, but even a little bit longer, just in case bad estrogen was converted from the supplementation of testosterone. I, personally, would be on the alert for symptoms of nipple sensitivity post-testosterone administration, which would also lead to adjusting anti-aromatase, and this is why spirulina would be the secondary safety net if anti-aromatase titration was not adequate. (If I am wrong, I would appreciate someone to correct me if the two (anti-aromatase and spirulina) would interfere with one another.) I cannot give any advice to women, whatsoever.

Very fatigued for awhile. Forced myself to exercise once recovering and stabilized. I am in great shape but covid hit me hard. Everyone is affected differently. I wish you the best health. Glad you figured out it was NOT your eating habits. Keep your immune system strong, be aware of touching your eyes, nose with unwashed hands. @Marcus. IKR? People who only sponsor expensive elite products/services run the risk of losing attention and support from people like me who have the Right Values but not the cash. With every expensive source, less expensive as well as DIY alternatives need to be promoted right next to it. Ever-optimizing B:B back-scratching is one of the things making Capitalism toxic right now and making poor people disproportionately sick and stupid. Healthy Capitalism only works when there is competition.

There are many more cruciferous vegetables than the ones you told us. I hope people do their own supplemental research. Cheers.

Should we take dim supplement to reduce high estrogen or only eat vegetables
@JohnPiperBoots
@JohnPiperBoots Жыл бұрын
You can but my experience is too much DIM causes some issues you NEED some estrogen. Maybe experiment split the pill etc.

Good suggestion for a video. The silica in it makes the stems and branches of plants stronger, much stronger.

I was taking it for a while. Although I was feeling good for a few days, I started feeling this weird pain in my lower abdomen. It went away as soon as I stopped. I also read later that it could be linked to promoting auto immune diseases; don't quote me on it, it was a long time ago.
