I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing your skin unfiltered and real! THANK YOU SO MUCH! You have no idea how much that means to me. My skin is extremely similar to yours, and I've gotten such bad self esteem from watching other youtubers and instagram, and I've felt so alone thinking my skin is the only one that looks like that. You are amazing! Thank you thank you and much love to you xo

Emily Walsberg. Try using rose water as a primer, after i wash and moisturize my skin before putting make-up on, i barely soak a cotton pad with rose water and dab it on parts of my face quickly, just lightly sweep it over your skin, anywhere that tends to flake/ look dry, my cheekbones and anywhere i wanna " glow" and highlight . then i let it set and blot off any excess with toilet paper slightly. Then apply foundation as usual and if any, lightly dust translucent powder on any oily parts of your face that get more oily if you sweat. From Colorado so my skin can get super dry if i don't do this. Hope this helps!

I also had bad rosaceea breakouts. I've tried all the cosmetics and dermatocosmetics, but nothing made it better. Until one day when I just lost my faith in all beauty products. So I eneded up throwing away ALL my creams, tonics, rosaceea lotions, make up remover, etc. The only thing I accepted to put on my face was the only things I Really needed: makeup and just organic argan oil in the night before bed so I can mosturize my dry skin. After a while ( several months) it completly calmed down. At the moment I'm not even wearing any makeup anymore, which made my skin even calmer and less red. The conclusion is: it's all a vicious circle. Every beauty product no matter how expansive and how delicate it was, it had chemicals. And my face was getting red and making small pimples under the skin, because it didn't handle all the chemicals, it reacted like to an allergy. And it didn't had anything to do with what I ate. I realise the redness was because of local factors. I would never dream before to have such a calm and ok skin on my face. Of course it's not white porcelain, it will never be. But it got me rid of all the problems that rosaceea brings. So my advice is to go clean on your face: no cream, no lotion, nothing at all. Just organic argan oil that you buy from the store with natural products. You can use it as makeup remover too. Then rinse with a lot of water. I wish someone would have told me sooner. All this cosmetics and products that even your doctor gives you it's very superficial, it's not meant to really stop your rosaceea. Stop putting chemicals on your skin, because they are the ones that are making the roscaeea worse.
@stephanielange7 жыл бұрын
I think you could be onto something here love! X
@Bianca-zd5jn7 жыл бұрын
Also, I know how important exfoliating is for this type of skin. So don't go putting chemicals on your face for this reason either. Exfoliate 1 or 2/ week with a natural mixture, that you personally can garantee is natural. And that can happen only with organic simple food ingredients. Do a mixture of: - 1 spoon of sodium bicarbonate ( this will reglate your skin pH) - 1 spoon of cornmeal ( this will be the real exfoliater) - 1 spoon of oat bran ( this will hidratate while exfoliating) Rub this on your face to remove any dry patches, I do this especially where I have dark spots, on the nose skin, etc. Rinse very well with water. Take into consideration to do this only before going to bed because the skin will get red. The next morning you will wake up and have a wonderful clean and silk face. The effect last 1 or 2 days after the treatment, but it does clean your face. Do not be tempted to exfoliate more than 1 or maximum maximum 2 / week. Another advice: try to reduce any consuption of inflamatory foods. Try to eat/ drink as little as possible spicy foods and lower the coffee drinking. I noticed that everyone tells me how white and less red my skin is becoming especially after I do some days of coffeine break. I can't cut coffee permanently from my diet because it is healthy and it's good for low blood pressure. But I try to drink it maybe once every 4 days, or just in the weekend, as a treat. I didn't cut spicy food permanently from my diet, but I also keep it as a treat, for days when I actually crave it. Also, try to not stay too much in the sun. But in Ireland I think the sun is so much gentle with your skin, you don't have to worry :) I hope this will help you! All this advices I wrote above helped me sooo much. I got rid of my roscaeea 90% I will say. My skin is not perfect white, but I'm finally very happy with it! I can wear no makeup and not look bad! Such a great feeling!

My skin was like that when I was your age. (Actually, I just realized you're 28, so my skin was like that when I was 24 and under) I'm 32 now. The terrible texture and huge pores are gone, but have been replaced with permanent acne scars on my cheeks, which I will have until the day I die. I get hormonal acne during my period, around my chin and under my neck. I will also have that until the day I die, or if I'm lucky, it will eventually go away during menopause. The only blessing I have from this skin is that I will always look 10 years younger than I actually am.

niki91389 Get a mini fraxel! It's a laser treatment but it helps so much. You usually need 2-3 sessions (depending on your skin) and then after that, you can maintain with one every year or longer, depending on your skin. There are no topical products that actually shrink pores but you can buy a glycolic acid wash (20-30%) that will clear debris from the follicles, resulting in the look of smaller pores. Both help with texture and hyper-pigmentation, as well. Otherwise, just keep your skin really clean, use a witch hazel toner, and moisturize with an oil free moisturizer. Don't over wash or over exfoliate, as that will cause your skin to produce more oil, resulting in the look of larger pores.

Thank you for representing girls like me and you!!!! I have large pores, acne scars, and acne prone skin. Finally I feel "normal". A lot of girls that I am subscribed to seem to have flawless skin and don't look like me when it comes to skin type. Again, Finally!! Lbvs. Bless you!!!

I agree with a lot of the comments that mention that you actually show your skin! No filters or whatever to cover up. It makes you seem very genuine, and you definitely stand out from many other youtubers ( I watch A LOT of youtube lol) You're awesome!!:))

Thank you so much for the comments at the end of your video. I have 2 teenage girls that try so hard to make their skin look as flawless as what they see online. It's important that they receive they hear this information from someone young and beautiful as yourself.

LIke the comment below, thank you for not being "fake"--for showing REAL solutions/techiquies to problem skin! I'm so sick of tutorials talking about "hiding pores primers on perfect skin tell me nothing. thank you! Especially loved the techinque with the smaller brush around the nose--best tequinque ive seen in years!

Thank you so much for the comment about do not comparing yourself to air-brushed models. It seems like common sense, but when I was a teenager I didn't know what Photoshop was (rural areas do that to you) and so I felt very inadequate. I now know that it's important to spread that message to women and men of all ages because not everyone knows. Thank you very much. Also your tutorial was lovely, nice job.

By far, the best textured skin video anywhere. My pores are super bad near my nose and cheek. I have tried the small brush technique that you suggest. Definitely patting motion and patience is required! It works. Nearly flawless. I should probably drink more water too! Thanks, hun!

... If you actually brush the foundation INTO your pores, don't you widen them and make it even worse? They will only get bigger.

I have an issue with all of UD foundation oxidizing on my skin, and I hate it cause I love UD
@kazenner19906 жыл бұрын
Oxidizing has nothing to do with quality of a foundation. Certain skins react with the ingredients in a foundation. It is a bummer but surely not a sign of a crap foundation. It is easy to say of it is rubbish to justify why it did oxidized.

Thanks for being so honest and showing your pores! You earned my trust! I see people do these videos and they really don't show their pores and they say products work so great then I try them and I don't look half as good as they do and it's because they don't have a good camera shot like you do! I know it's not how I'm applying the product it's just that nothin will ever be perfect for pores but you have the best advice on minimizing them and were honest that it won't make them completely disappear!!! You are awesome! Thank you! Love your eye shadows too!

This is the first time I have watched one of your videos. I was just looking around to see what to watch and I came across this video. I want to say first of all you are a beautiful young lady and second of all...thank you for what you said at the end. We do have the skin God gave us and He didn't mean for us to look like everyone else. Life doesn't have a built in filter like you can get on Instagram and Snapchat. We are all beautiful in our own way and we should be thankful. Thank you again for the encouragement at the end.
