I took a different path...do I spend my time and bandwidth worrying about things like taxes or focus on the business? I picked the latter. Early in my adult life I saw a couple people fall ass backwards into large windfalls and got tax experts to help them pay less in tax. In both cases a couple years later they were dealing with the IRS which was disagreeing with the tax strategies used. After a lot of stress, paying back taxes, penalties and the tax experts they had to go back to work. One of them tried to hide and move from property to property he had bought under various ids. Kind of a mess. Not saying all tax advice is bad or people shouldn't try to do what they can to reduce taxes. But for me I need to face some realities... If I don't really understand a deal I'm likely to screw myself. Trusting some "expert", taking a leap of faith, is not smart. Not saying the "expert" is a crook...am saying I'm likely to hear what I want to hear. That's a risk. There is a lot to tax law that is subject to opinion. Generally when you hire a tax expert you're paying for an opinion on whether something is valid. It's very gray. I suck at understand tax law...that's not something I'm interested in so I don't study it. Just because I'm really good at the things that makes me money it doesn't mean I'm good at everything. 99.99999% of all activities in the world I would suck at. See many people get a huge head thinking they'll make good choices in all cases given success in their field. So I've paid taxes and I've also gone years not paying any taxes. But all that were very simple strategies. Worse case I wanted the IRS to see I was at least trying to comply. It worked for me to focus on making money rather than avoiding tax. IMO there are safer ways to save money. To me paying tax is an expense. But so is buying boats, race horses, sport teams, etc... Do I really need to spend on all those toys?

you are missing the point of this channel. if you can leave the country and pay 0 taxes, is that a good business decision, or not?
@nottodaynsa47827 ай бұрын
This channel is about leaving jurisdictions that are anti business. We are not skirting taxes, we our moving our money outside the purview of our home government, many of which are anti competition. We are not dodging the tax man. We are dodging corrupt officials.

Hey Andrew and Team Could you do a video on being a nomad capitalist with a chronic health condition? You have done healthcare generally speaking, but that's a different animal if you aren't also walking around with the anchor of monthly medication deliveries to a specific address.
@qetoinfinity20862 жыл бұрын
Fyi medication is much much cheaper overseas. Western countries pay through the nose for it to essentially subsidize the rest of the world which get it at much lower prices.
