How to Refill a CANON PRO 10 Cart in 5 seconds!
CANO PRO-10 and CANON PRO-9500MKII use physically identical carts, but different chips.
Refilling CANON PGI-9 and PGI-72 cartridges can be super easy though a bit tedious and often the ink tends to no flow in as fast as we would like.
A simple home made adapter will solve that for you.
You do have to make sure to follow a few rules.

Yes but don't forget you will loose some quality from oem to any third party regardless of how good they are. The best you can expect is about 90-95% of oem color reproduction.

In your previous video pertaining the Canon pro 10 you stated to refill once the cart was empty. In the comment section you then mentioned topping off a cart. Which is it and why not just top them off before they empty?

Yes. Expect not on PRO100 CLI-42 YELLOW OEM CARTS. You have to pre flush with Windex with Ammonia D first. Never with water initially. The once you've flushed and soaked for several hours, you follow through with water.

Hi Jose, After I have flushed the cart clean with water and sucked the water out, if I put the empty cart into storage waiting for refill, should I get it to dry first and then put the clip on? Or do I put the clip on right after the flush? Br, Eeli

No...get the resetter. You'd be printing blind. Trust me!

Approximately how many times can the same Pro-10 cart be refilled? Is it advisable to flush the carts regularly using your adapted needle method? What will be the signs of a cart nearing the end of its useful life? Would it be wise to "cycle in" an OEM cartridge from time to time, or would this be incompatible with the Precision Color inks? The PRO10 CLI-42 carts are unique in that they do not utilize a Sponge like those used by the PRO100. So you can used them till declared empty. They have an internal ink bag. Just make sure to dribble the ink into the exit port so you WET all of it in the process. You will not have to ever flush them unless you are switching to another ink set. So it is the perfect refilling system. Fill them by tbe dribble method till they weigh in at 32-33 grams NOT including the Orange clip.

Love your channel, Jose. I've learned so much! I just bought a Canon Pro-10 (after having two Epson printers), and I see it's one of the thirstier printers out there. I'd like to refill the carts with OEM inks from another Canon printer. Which one has the largest carts? Where do I get all of the parts for this "project," i.e., the scale, the syringe, am I storing the ink from the carts in bottles after I've filled my first Pro-10 cart? That little thing you glued to the cart cover that you put the syringe into, where did that come fromt? It seems to me that if I don't touch the Pro-10 for a while, it shuts itself off! Have you heard of this? I'm unable to keep it from doing the ink recycling operation because of this. I'm keeping my computer on, the printer connected to the computer, and the printer is plugged in and on. But still shuts off. My other question is why does the Lightroom print module have the "page setup" box on the lower left hand side? I've never understood the purpose of that. Maybe you know.

You don't really need to use OEM inks just check out Precision colors signature edition ink set for the Pro 10. Everything you need you can purchase from them including the chip resetter bottles Etc. The Lightroom print module page setup basically opens up the printer driver which you need to open to set your settings for your print job.

None! Blunt but true. The best approach is to refill your original ones. It is supper easy! The OEM carts have internal engineering that is patented and can not be incorporated into compatible replacements so they are absolutely inferior and pure junk. You already have the best. Your own original carts is the best way to go. You will need a resetter and inks. I suggest Precisioncolors if you are in the USA

Hi there, problem number 7,865. I have a canon pro 10s when printing on Hartwii A3+ 180 - 260 g/m2 paper some of the prints get a 4 inch long sig zag scratch, something like a size ma graph needle mark on them, in bottom left hand side. Any ideas my friend? Gratefully your Brian

I do not know that paper but ANY physical scratches are usually caused by head strikes! Activate "Prevent Paper Abrasion" in the Maintenance Tab / Custom Settings

To tell you the truth I didn't even know there was a IPF PRO 2100 I only know the PRO-2000. If this is a newer version then the answer is that there is no third party option that will even come close to the OEM products. If you meant the PRO-2000 then your only option at this time is OEM which you can get 700ml cartridges for $225 with USA shipping. Rather than $300, Link is on my video descriptions.

Of course it will. Though paper matters like RC coated with OBAs be a high end rag fine art paper with zero OBAs. Third party inks will fade faster. OEM / Archival papers will maximize longevity. You would need to spray you prints made with 3rd party inks to increase longevity when using any third party ink on any paper.

Jose Rodriguez thank you I use the cannon 10 . I brush a UVLS from Golden then they are presented under 90% uv glass. A question for you , why is epsom rated so high by the whillhelm Inst 400+ for bw yet the lux inks in cannon is barely 200

I normally don't follow all these accelerated tests as to me it doesn't translate to real world conditions. What Epson against what canon inks? On what papers and printers? 400 Lux vs 200 Lux still translated to decades in my home walls. Protected or bare? Yeah those numbers don't mean much in real life print display conditions.

Was full these carts directly by dripping ink into the exit port. It's been the same since the start. Fill till they weigh 32-33 grams. Please watch my latest video just a few days ago about filling these carts.
