The 1 set limit has been long gone for some time. Can sell as many as you want now. At the time I was limiting purchases I was swamped and just wanted everyone to be able to get a set. Hope it worked out well for you. yeah I might be a grouch though. LOL

Hi Jose, I have a Canon Pro 100S. I saw a few of your informative video's a few years back when I first got it. Now I'm back again! I was looking at my old cartridges thinking they still had way too much ink left, tried to figure out if I could still use them after years of being out of my printer. I was almost going to try to use them again... try to clean them via the printer, but thankfully I came across your other video saying that there SHOULD still be plenty of ink left in them. I barely print. Hope to do so more in the near future. Will wait with opening the new set until I have made an art order. Because if I remember correctly in one of your old video's, you stated that the printer re-cleans itself after a certain length of time of not getting used (how long was that again?) I have been naughty with my more recent set of cartridges... have been ignoring the printer warnings. So basically keep using them until you get a red alert yeah not a yellow warning one? I think I may have swapped my first set a tad too soon. I'm a bit confused re whether or not I can refill the original set or not. It sounded like you said in another video that you need to purchase two expensive set of cartridges but that you can then refill them... but it also looks like you are promoting the Canon refill supplies so which is it? It would be great if I can refill my original cartridges (if not dried out!?) because as you said in that older video... they still have a good 5 or 7 ml's of ink worth using which will get mixed with the new ink. Also what's the story with the yellow ink I didn't understand? Is that the one cartridge that you do always purchase from Canon but refill the others? I'm yet to watch this video above so maybe some of my questions will be answered. Years back I looked in to getting refillables but wasn't sure where to get genuine ink. The place you mentioned years back (can't remember the name of it?) wasn't available for New Zealand buyers I don't think. I looked at your refills supplies but I can't see ink sold on there just empty refills? Should I cancel my new order while I still have two sets of (empty or almost empty) Canon ink? Probably will be too late by the time you see this message. Don't mind the novel haha. Had more questions than I realised! Thanks for your informative video's. Will binge watch a few of them. Maybe I will find the answers I need there!

Are you saying now that we don’t use the Canon original cartridges but purchase these others from Ebay? When filling, would it clarify to give an actual measurement of maximum ink to put in the tank? Hello Jose! I just got a set of ink i thought pfi 1700, but the label said it is pfi706 for older model printer like prograf 9400. Can i put it straight in my prograf 2000 with that chip. Or do i need to do needle refill and find the right icc for it?

You open the lid. Printhead should to the center just like when you exchange carts. Remove all the carts. Unlock the print head and remove it.

Hi Jose, thanks for your informative videos. One question before I dive into refilling is have you noticed a difference in performance or longevity in the traditional drilled out and top refill method vs the new Vacuum method using unmodified carts? I have a Pro100 and one set of OEM cannon inks that have recently run empty and was debating the vacuum process if you think its better. Thanks

With vac you can use them till empty. Reset and refill. With drilled carts you MUST reset and refilling BEFORE the low warning to insure air does not infiltrate the sponge due to the liquid chamber becoming empty but chip is not empty. Either method is good. Top filling is super simple. Vacuum is more involved.

What are your feelings on the Precision Colours SE inks for the Pro 100 after all this time? I finally ran out of pre-SE PC ink and need to order more and I have noticed that in constant strong sunlight the prints do fade fast. But I don't think I really care because OEM ink is so expensive and a lot of stuff I print really is disposable, like birthday cards on photo paper. I know I need OEM for prints I sell or gift that will be kept for years. But I would like to know what you think of the new PC Pro-100 inks before I order more.

They are still the best out there. Still using them since ten years ago. The SE ink are outstanding. But remember that any 3rd party dye ink will never have the longevity of equivalent OEM ones.

I was ready to order but it looks like PC doesn't ship outside of North America anymore and no replies to email. I had to order from Octoink instead. Which is too bad because it looks like Octoink doesn't provide ICC profiles, whereas PC has profiles for all the common Canon papers. I'll have to figure out how to adjust my prints to the new ink manually.

Would you still recommend this replace every single cartridge if you’re starting off with brand new factory unmodified cartridges? Wouldn’t it be best to start using my unused pro100 with pc colors ink and modified cartridges at that point? 😮 Thank you!

If you open a full set of modded reset and refilled carts then yes. Change all. You need to already have my modified carts. Doing your own if you only have your initial set is not doable. The process takes several days to fully dry them. You cannot have your printhead without a cart installed for more that a few minutes.

Hi Jose, I've been refilling my Pro 100 for a year or so but now the ink level monitor is showing full cartridges even though I know for certain that they're not. Any ideas on how to get the ink monitor to start behaving properly? I've installed another set of refilled cartridges & its behaviour is the same. HELP!
