Important: Don't point the purge valve at your face when you purge your lighter. Eyes don't react well to being sprayed with butane. I've also found that torch lighters tend to be finicky about the butane they use - they like the clean stuff.

THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH! My priest gave me an eagle torch and it ran out of fluid, he then gave me a tank to refill is and I had no clue how to do it. I am glad yours picked up the "spray" on it because I was terrified I was spraying myself with the gas and not actually putting any inside the lighter.

most good butane refill cans come with a cap....inside the cap holds 4 to 5 different tips to fit on the lighter you are trying to fill...one of them should be a fit. The adapter tips are molded into the cap so you are going to need to snap off the adapter tips to find the one that works.

@@davidbocek Newport butane has quality tip adapters that push right out instead of 1 cent plastic that you rip off with holes. I never had a problem after acquiring these tips from the Newport butane can. Free flints too! Awesome butane!

I use the whip it pure myself. Sometimes these don't like to take the fluid. U have to move the can around no matter the type or brand ur using until u find that sweet spot it will spray out sideways

Was thinking of trying whip its. Buy 1 get 1 free. 800mls for $10! But got Newport for the quality tips! Great decision for filling any torch. Plastic tips don’t leak as much as metal tips.

OK let me add a couple of things decent video over all but when u purge your tank u really need to stay away from metal it can ruin the end of your lighter find a small piece of wood but not some random twig I find that skewer sticks with the end cut off works great but don't break it u might get a little pice of wood in your nozzle then your screwed also when u shake it but down the stick and just shake your lighter a few times hard then hit it again you'll hear it and tbh this takes a long time like 10 shakes but trust me it will eventualy.make no sound if u don't even if it looks full it can cause a vapor lock where the lighter looks full but u can't get none out

they ask you how to do it cause the metal tipped butane cans don’t fill easily with these little torches. we all know what the concept is but the issue is it’s not filling easily. i have busted the seals on my torches more then once cause sometimes they fill super easily and other times it’s a pain in the ass

When you purge your lighter, you eliminate old fuel and even air that can build up within the fuel chamber. Old fuel mixed with air can make your flame sputter and flicker, reducing your ability to gain a clean light.

Anson is the worst butane to use it clogs the burners real easy you wanna get something that is at least seven times refined most smoke stores carry them I prefer the 11 times

Cleaning your torch goes a long way too. They will clog from lint and debris. Toothbrush and a dab of alcohol to debris and clean does wonders. Blow air into torch to blow out stuff.

i have this exact model but after only 2 1/2 the valve is leaking and looses the gas quickly second one this happened now

You are not filling it correctly, the oring is freezing and keeping the valve in a stuck open position. The lil rubber oring is what keeps the valve shut to prevent gas leaking. So if it's leaking, the oring is other damaged or stuck in the open valve. Grab a small screwdriver (like for glasses or electronics) and wiggle the oring out. Don't lose it. Purge the tank empty. Reinstall the oring gently, and evenly. Now when you fill it, don't press so hard. Slow n steady til you hear/see it fill your lighter.

So tired of telling people this. You likely filled the lighter up incorrectly, allowing butane to escape as it fills the lighter will freeze the oring. The lil rubber oring you see at the bottom of the lighter is what keeps the gas from escaping. When filling the lighter, try to not leak too much butane. You can get a screwdriver, take out and gently insert the oring, then use one of the butane cans to press the oring back in place. When using the can to refill your light, be slow n steady. Try not to leak and don't press too hard. If the oring gets damaged it might need to be replaced.
