Costco £5.50 inc VAT for 5 litres W212 filler in boot takes 11 litres. You will defo require a filter funnel. But you dont need to reset the warning light was what I was looking for. Thanks Pepsi Twist.

I basically bought Mercedes C class 220 BlueTec diesel Sport 65k last year and then after driving 10k engine light turned On at that point I found out from my local garage that I had to replace nox sensors which costs 1300 but luckily I got lucky because Mercedes fixed it for free even though my car was out of warranty however this year in February I put 5 litres add blue before the nox sensors were replaced and just today after driving another 2k I thought I’ll check add blue level from dashboard it’s says “Add blue : Not full” so I added another 5 litres but it still says “Add blue : Not full” And in my car I do not get any warning signs when to fill add blue and how much add blue is remaining which is pretty strange 🤔 Reg 2015

That is strange the mercs I’ve tested have all held about 9ltrs and they take a while for the ecu to acknowledge refilling I doubt you have anything to be concerned about

Lets Review It Yes indeed! it’s is very confusing I’ve also checked the owner’s manual and it Says I should be able to check the add blue level from the service tab but on the dashboard non is there in regards to add blue ☹️ I wonder if the settings needs to be updated or when Mercedes replace new nox sensors they forgot to update it wonder what’s wrong with it 🤔

NoPants you should never run your car out of adblue as it it illegal. However If you did the process is no different you just require more adblue

The engine check light indicates something wrong need to be checked, however, if you the light is amber/yellow then I guess it could be a sensor fault code.

Generally speaking, accidentally putting diesel into your AdBlue™ tank is unlikely as the AdBlue™ fill point is designed for a smaller spout nozzle (19mm), making it impossible for larger diameter diesel spouts to fit. The other way round however has become a common problem and causes costly damage. If the unfortunate situation arises that a driver has added AdBlue™ in the diesel tank, do not start the engine as this will circulate the fluid round. AdBlue™ is not compatible with many materials so it can corrode the pipework and components in the fuel system. This can cost thousands of pound worth of damage, not to mention the loss of use of the vehicle until a professional gas drained the tank, flushed out the system and carried out all repairs.

I think the adblue is kind of water based chemical so whatever happens when you add water in to diesel

Just make sure when buying your adblue that it hasn't been stored in direct sunlight or a warm environment as it goes off

Fun fact frech cars like peugeot dont have that cap. In order to refill it you need to lift car locate tank unscrew all covers and then fill it up....

I've filled mine up and it still says I need ad blue! It hasn't registered it and I've driven around 40 miles I've definitely topped up enough . Is there a few buttons I need to press for it to register??

@@Potts2k8 yes, it was a problem that required Citroen to resolve. I used to pour the full 10 litres in one go, but last time I just poured in half, and it's working. I didn't want to be carrying too much weight in the van

Good to know I can buy AdBlue in petrol stations. Is AdBlue a brand that produces this urea liquid, or is AdBlue what the liquid is called? Are there different producers of AdBlue? Like: "Shell", "BP", "Texaco", who produce diesel? So is AdBlue the name of the product like: "diesel"? Or is AdBlue a brand like "Shell", "BP", ect.?

I think adblue is the product and there are a number of alternative brands you can buy :)

@@letsreviewit8925 - Thank you. I did watch a few other videos on AdBlue, and yes, it is the name of the product that was invented and copyrighted by a German company. It is simply a mixture of around 30% uric acid and ionized water. It is produced by different companies who probably pay a commission to the German company that holds the copyrights to it. A petrol station had an Adblue pump next to the diesel and unleaded pumps. It is "NOT" the same as pee. Human pee will damage the AdBlue system.
