If I Trademark a brand in one class, can another person Trademark same name in another class?

Trademark isn't like CAC where registration covers several applications. Each application in trademark just covers one class or one type of business. If you want to secure your brand name, logo, catch phrase etc, and you don't want anyone to infringe on your right or use it without your express permission THEN you'll have to file it in all the classes that protects that name, logo, catch phrase etc.

To my greatest surprise, when I logged into my CAC profile, I discovered that it(name reservation) is still showing pending till this very moment. You don't trademark a business, you trademark a brand name or logo and if the foreign company has a trademark already, you can't trademark their brand or logo here in Nigeria without their permission. If permission is granted, the brand name will be trademarked in Nigeria under the foreign company's name.
