You guys Rock!! This prior Navy ICU Corpsman survived Covid double pneumonia but NO ONE in charge of my care told me about this. Today is 10/4 and I was in hospital from 7th to 18th and lost 33 lbs of muscle. I am off NC 2L o2 but barked at my NP provider to get a f/u chest x-ray. Just got it today and has some scarring. So I got on youtube and found you all. Be blessed.

Yes!! That is what happened to me and 3 friends/coworkers. My second trip to the hospital 2 weeks later landed me in hospital bed overnight. That’s when I finally got medicine: iv steroid, oxygen. By next day I felt a lot better, then Lung exercises (deep breath in and exhale) and an inhaler. I have a large hospital bill due to the first callous Dr. who didn’t care that I was 61, vaccinated with lung inflammation seen in an X-ray. The 2nd Dr. gave me good care. Early good treatment is key.

I also had Covid with double pneumonia and felt I was going to die. The phone call I received from our Health Department was to “ride it out, don’t go to hospital there’s nothing they can do unless you can’t breathe” stupidity I complied. Ended up going to ER, where I was looked at from the door by ER dr and sent home. I got worse and worse, went to my clinic and received iv infusion for 3 days. By the second day, life started to come back to me. I don’t feel the same as before Covid. I’m going on a year coming up in May. We lost so many people to not giving monoclonal antibody treatments. I’m ordering the breather ASAP. Thank you for the information.

I had a team of Doctors that new what they where gding and I was determined to get out of there as fast I could. I made it a point not lay in the bed during the day and keep moving around. More education is required of the medical community to include us in their outreach. You mention all the things we focus on with dysarthria, dysphonia, dysphasia. Yet no mention of the professionals that are responsible for their rehab. Hoping to build more team spirit!-)

Ended up in hospital for 15 days from covid pneumonia back in October after 10 days of hell at home. Nearly ended up in ICU, but managed to get blood oxygen levels up by proning for a few days. Lungs were not good when I was discharged and was very out of breath walking short distances, going up stairs etc. Started off my rehab by doing tai chi, which I have practiced for a while for anxiety - however, the breathing element of it really helped my lungs. I then got back singing, moved onto walking the dogs and now back weight lifting at the gym; lost around 25% of my strength pre-covid, but happy to be alive and able to do activities I enjoyed before getting ill - others have not been so lucky. Information in this video is really good - I am only 35 and keep myself fit, but think I have been immune compromised from long term mental health medication.

I had COVID in April of this year, the coughing and fevers lasted a full two weeks. I don’t know that I have any residual symptoms, but I have had issues with inflammation. I didn’t watch any videos on exercising the lungs but I found it helpful to sing. A lot. It might sound silly but it actually feels like it helped.
@patty68
@patty68 2 жыл бұрын
The inflammation is probably from your over all diet.. take 5,000 ius of vitamin d with k2 as well as omega 3s 2000 mg a day and vitamin c 2000 mg a day , just a little zinc... maybe 30 mg a day. Also go onto Dr Mark and Michele Sherwoods site.. utube.. they are functional medicine Docs. .. the virus isn't what is harming and killing people..its the unhealthy ways of people and the incorrect treatment being mandated in our hospitals.

What a helpful and informative video. I learned a lot of facts about how COVID affects our respiratory system. Especially, I myself who is recovering from COVID, (3 weeks now since symptoms started). My issues presently are a reactive airway, dry coughing, and sensitivity to temperature differences. I think your recommendation with the "Breather" is going to help me with my respiratory conditioning-of course with my doctors' approval. Thanks again, Bob. I hope you recover soon and be stronger than ever.

I was in the hospital for nearly 7 weeks with covid19 pneumonia. I have been home about 20 days. I am on oxygen at home and don't really feel I am making much progress from the time I was discharged. Family doc suggested cutting my O2 down a liter/min, but that wasn't consistently keeping me > 90 % saturation at rest. That is what leads me to your channel and this video, with a little help from my algorithmic friends at YT. All that is as nothing -- I knew I was going to subscribe as soon as I watched the first few seconds. Finally here is a content creator on YT who has the self-confidence to go on camera and interview a professional while totally smashed! My kind of people! (I figured Brad is either out of town, or else he already passed out off camera haha.) I guess your mundane explanation flies but I have subscribed anyway. Thanks for this content.

I’m a survivor of acute respiratory failure due to covid. I went into the emergency room twice while having fevers and occasionally had low oxygen levels. Not once did they just give me the antibodies which probably would have prevented it. They took a chest X-ray and it was all clear then a few days later started my 13 day stay at the hospital with my lungs a mess. When will hospitals begin treatment before it’s a disaster?

They are not trained in preventative methods, they are only able to “treat” not prevent…that part is our responsibility as not to end up subject to allopathic treatments which often kill. They just don’t know what to do except what they were trained to do which is drugs and equipments said to help “them” the providers to help use them on you, they don’t even know how to explain it to you if you ask…they’re not used to answering logical questions. Change diet, fruits are our saving grace! 🍉 🍎 🍋

@@create773 I totally agree they are not trained in preventative treatment but the two times I went to the emergency room after having fevers up to 104 degrees they could have treated me with the antibody infusion and I more than likely would have never ended up destroying my lungs. When in the hospital all the doctors and nurses were great and clearly were doing everything they could to get me better but I feel all of it could have been prevented had they treated my initial covid issues.

@@ryandellavecchia9349 I couldn’t agree more! My ex husband who was previously healthy received no antibodies and also no medications at all (even though he asked!) and this occurred twice before he was admitted to ICU. He passed away on a ventilator in Sept 2021. He was only 53 and had none of the co-morbidities which would indicate potential severe disease. I call it medical negligence to a criminal degree! They told him both times to go home and the ER added he should take vitamin C, which he already was. The poor man was so sick and they sent him home to get deathly ill. 😔

I survived a bout with Covid back in September of 2021… I was hospitalized for 90 days and was nearly intubated… My lungs were compromised, with double pneumonia and inflammation… I was immediately put on high flow oxygen for several weeks and eventually winged down to 6 liters…. I ultimately ended up with severe scarring in both lungs which reduced my ability to produce an adequate amount of oxygen to perform simple walks and tasks without shortness of breath and oxygen desaturation down to 67. It has been a little over a year and I have caught colds that really affected my lungs and caused endless coughing and spitting up phlegm. Throughout my home recovery I tried to work with weights and bands and controlled breathing techniques to help increase my my lungs capacity in producing Better gas exchange. I have recently recovered from a bout with Influenza A and let me tell you I felt like I was going to die… As for now I am struggling with my with my scarred lungs and currently living in a homeless shelter surrounded by countless people coughing with colds and flues… my life has been altered and turned upside down… lost my residency, income and health… I am currently in high hopes in finding Covid Advocacy Programs to help me in my current hardships in seeking a place to call home and hopes to receive my disability claim as well

I had long covid at 23 and the most I needed was saline IV and 12 hours obs. 16 months later though I hear a small crackle or two on a deep exhale (reduced taste and fatigue also persist). I'm sure it doesn't mean anything but I can't in good conscience waste NHS time with a crackly chest. I'll just have to remember to bring it up for one moment when I'm with the GP for something else.

I’m still healing from Covid Pneumonia. I’m immune suppressed and my doctor didn’t give me a antiviral. I was in the time frame too. I think if I didn’t have the vaccine/booster at all, I may have died. When I was in the hospital they gave me paxlovid and it was day 16. I continued to take it after I got out of the hospital and feeling better. So maybe it does work after you’re very sick.

Some lost their licenses helping and treating people. This country is highjacked by big pharma and nobody is doing anything about it. Look at the youtube video of January 24, 2022 Senator Johnson and the doctors who healed thousand and thousands of patients risking their licenses and loosing their hospital privileges... Watch that doctor crying when descibing watching a patient die in the hospital because they did not give him the meds. Crying from a broken soul. Doctors are healing people as their calling and when this is prevented and blocked, they can just die from grief.

Oh no, I hope for you that your lung function comes back 100%. Fast walk if you can and purchase a bunch of large size balloons. Keep blowing them up if you can and graduate in time to smaller balloons. Keep them clean in a ziplock bag in your vehicle, kitchen, nightstand etc... Do as many times a day as you can. Most of these devices are expensive balloons. I wish you good luck. I'd love to hear if you've had any progress?? Oh, stay away from foods that create phlegm, such as chocolate and drying citrus such as lemons.

My mother's symptoms started in her right leg and then her stomach no fever no loss of taste and then all the sudden she is hospitalized needing surgery due to the blood clotting the doctor's acts like they didn't know what was going on and why her blood would be clotting even though everything I read was talking about patients having blood clotting I also started a Facebook group for covid survivors where I learned about long COVID-19 and all the different symptoms so during her surgery her heart has stopped three times after her surgery I was able to talk to her for one day which she told me to come and get her because I was trying to hurt her at the hospital so I called the police cuz I was not allowed to enter the COVID-19 unit and I sent him up to her room witch they said there was nothing they could do the next day she was put in a medical induced coma because they said she had covid-19 she don't want to three hospitals before this and it was pretty much 3 weeks in a row three different hospitals and all of her test came back negative for COVID-19 well why she was put in a medical induced coma we would call and check on her each day one day would be good the next day would be bad and so it went on like this for a little over 2 months they finally called us to the hospital and let us come see her we had a meeting the doctors told us to expect more bad news which I looked at the doctors and told her she will pull through this she's a toughest woman I've ever met not just because she is my mother But because she's been through a lot and always pulled through and I kind of already know what the doctor was going to tell me because of the Facebook group but I had started a lot of survivors told their stories which was a lot of them was similar to my mother's so I told the doctor you're pretty much going to tell me next that the medicines have ran their course He said yes That's when I knew God was going to step in and show us who the true medicine is about a week later she opens her eyes on Christmas morning and during that week they moved her from the critical covid care unit to the regular critical Care unit and that's when she opened her eyes on Christmas couple weeks later she got moved to a rehabilitation center while there they told her how to remove her arms and try to walk again then she got to come home she came home in a wheelchair also on oxygen she had a bad gash on her knee where the doctors had dropped her but least she was home she was finally able to spend time with her family again from there she was on oxygen for 3 months I'm slowly started using a walker about a month after that she no longer needed the oxygen about a month and a half after that she no longer needed the Walker . put in a medical induced coma were there she lay for a little over two months on a ventilator

We were treated early by our physician with triple zinc ionophors, plus azithromcin, zinc, high dose vitamin C and D and chest PT including proning and postural drainage, as well as nebulized .1% H2O2. We are in the higher risk age group. plus my husband has had an MI and Quradruple bypass several years ago. Fortunately we both recovered without hospitalization. We have been staying home, masking when we do need to go out. Our 13 year old grandson had visited us. We felt safe because he was fully vaccinated, several months before, but while visiting us he became ill, and he tested positive for COVID. I became ill a few days later, followed by my husband.

Dealing with problems breathing after covid, these breathing exercises might help. You can start with lower numbers and work your way up to this exercise level. Start small this will make you DIZZY. 1. Sit down to do these exercises 2. Inhale for a count of 18 hold for a count of 36 exhale for a count of 18. 3. A set is 10 inhales, do 3 sets of 10 inhales in the morning, 3 sets at noon, and 3 sets at bedtime. Learn to become a diaphragm breather not an upper chest breather. Extra exercise tip. Wash your hands first. Make a fist hold it to your lips and breath through your closed fist. Open and close your fingers to adjust pressure of air flow through fist. This also helps in building up your diaphragm muscles.

Acute respiratory failure due to covid occurs due to inflammation caused when your immune system is trying to purge dead virus cells. Patients are not contagious after first 10 days or so as a healthy immune system kills it off. I survived a 28-day hospital stay which was extended due to covid induced pneumonia and complications of a bilateral pneumothorax (hole in both lungs).
