The relationship between the throat/mouth and pelvic floor is so profound! I recently watched a singing instructional video which was teaching to sing from your pelvic floor, so you have an equal and opposite energy - moving down through the pelvic floor, and up through the throat. She said that's the key to singing powerfully. It is a fun practice to actually sing that way and feel the connection.

I'm sorry to hear that you're going through such a challenging experience. Emotional well-being can indeed have an impact on physical health. It's important to prioritize your mental and emotional health. If you're comfortable, consider discussing your feelings with a mental health professional who can provide support and guidance. Additionally, open communication with your pelvic floor therapist about these emotional aspects may contribute to a more holistic approach to your well-being. ~Vibrant Support

I wasn't aware how badly I was holding all emotions in my body until I started feeling that pain in my body than different diseases... Mainly antibiotics !! My body was weak to fight anything... I developed recurrent cyst around my pelvic region.. many more things.. in short stress and trauma was now manifesting physically for me !! It's good that I'm 19 so I still have time to release stuck emotions and regulate my nervous system again !! But finding content like this is hard when mostly every one thinks to cure superficially while it's just bodies way to show there's something wrong in body deeply..

I noticed that i used to be able to hold in my pee and poo for really extended periods of time with little issue. I’d notice my friends going to the bathroom 5-8 times a day, whereas I’d only go about once or twice. As I became aware of how repressed I was emotionally, I wondered if this had a body connection in my bathroom habits. My shoulders, jaw, and neck have also always been super tight. Im light footed and often scare people who don’t realise I’m right next to them; I also noticed I breathe very lightly almost as if I’m afraid to take up too much air. As I’ve started working on my trauma, I began shaking involuntarily and intermittently. I also go to the bathroom more, and overall, emotional experiences seem to get “digested” more quickly. Have slowly been daring to get more expressive as well. Interesting to grow aware of the emotional, physical and spiritual connections expressed in the body

This is the first video I've seen of yours and this is THE info I have been needing! I have heard a lot of similar things but not all in one video. You wouldn't believe how much time I spend on YT trying to heal this trauma & move it out of my body! I love shaking - I've done a lot of Dr Joe Dispenza's meditations which always seem to start the shake, and afterward feel like such an amazing release. The other thing you mentioned was sound - also BIG for me too! Dr Peter Levine talks about making a deep "voo" sound or chant. Anyway - thank you so very much for being willing to "go there" I really appreciate the spiritual side of all of this - I think a combination of all of this is what we need. Thank you!

YESSSSSS. Thank you for making me know I’m not crazy! I’ve been suffering with pelvic floor issues for almost 4 yrs now. The discomfort, pain, bloating, burning, tension, all of it is chronic in nature. It hit me out of nowhere & it’s never left. I’ve had rounds of urological p/t; had every test imaginable- I was convinced I had an obstruction; mass; something definitive. Nothing was found. I’ve been disabled for yrs due to severe scoliosis, chronic lumbar pain, and a plethora of spinal issues that would require 2 major surgical procedures that I simply will not agree to do - the cons way outweigh the pros. I’ve gone through countless intrathecal injections to no avail. My stress level and anxiety is and has been through the roof for many years due to being in chronic pain along with dealing with some extremely difficult life situations. Sorry to go on, but yes - moving my body however little, slow, or fast helps! I dance & love listening to music; I’m more aware of my breathing and practice breathing from my core/abdomen. I eat more healthy. I’m trying to just let go, accept, & do what I can to help myself. Thank you for your helpful videos - your suggestions are wonderful! They make total sense to me, & I plan on continuing to listen/watch them, practice them, & do my very best to help myself!

You're absolutely not crazy, and I'm glad to hear that my previous response resonated with you. It sounds like you've been through a lot with your pelvic floor issues and chronic pain. Dealing with ongoing discomfort, pain, and other symptoms can be incredibly challenging, both physically and emotionally. It's great to hear that you've been exploring different approaches to manage your symptoms and improve your well-being. Engaging in activities like dancing, listening to music, and focusing on your breathing can have a positive impact on your overall health and mindset. Making healthy dietary choices and finding ways to let go, accept, and take care of yourself are important steps towards self-care and self-improvement. Remember, healing and managing chronic conditions takes time, and it's a journey unique to each individual. It's important to be patient and compassionate with yourself along the way. Continuing to seek out resources, such as helpful videos and practicing techniques that resonate with you, can contribute to your overall well-being and potentially provide relief. @@jasminmejia4689 I'm sorry to hear about your mom. Such a difficult thing to go through, and our bodies often "feel it" in ways that can surprise us (such as infections due to stress-related immune system suppression, followed by pelvic region pain). Yes, pelvic pain can happen after a UTI because the muscles reflexively tense up to protect you from the bladder pain... and sometimes, the pelvic floor muscles don't want to let go! This chronic/longstanding tension can go away, ABSOLUTELY. It takes time and patience, but it's possible. I can't offer you medical advice but I can give you this guidance: Contact a pelvic floor physical therapist in your area for individualized evaluation and treatment, and continue to do my pelvic pain/tension videos on KZbin if they're helping you. For years I've been doing daily meditations involving going "up" (HigherSelf to Source) but that was taking me out of my body. Recently I've been doing "The Pushing Down" meditation which has helped me with Retracing ( the re-experiencing or re-awakening of old pain or other symptoms, including memories or even emotions that seem suddenly to erupt to the surface) & being aware of my triggers as they occur.
@vibrantpelvichealth Жыл бұрын
That's wonderful to hear that you've found a meditation practice that resonates with you and supports your journey of self-awareness and healing. It's interesting how different meditation techniques can offer unique benefits and perspectives. The "Pushing Down" meditation you mentioned seems to have been effective for you in terms of retracing and becoming more aware of your triggers. Retracing can be a powerful process where past pain, memories, or emotions resurface, allowing for their acknowledgment and eventual release. By being aware of your triggers as they occur, you're gaining valuable insights into yourself and your patterns of reaction. It's important to remember that each person's healing journey is unique, and what works for one may not work for another. It's wonderful that you've discovered a practice that is helping you stay grounded in your body and be present with your experiences. If you continue to find benefit from the "Pushing Down" meditation and it supports your overall well-being, I encourage you to continue exploring it and incorporating it into your daily routine. Trust your intuition and listen to what feels right for you.

Speaking to the throat chakra and creation chakra connection - how many of us are dealing with hormonal/menstrual issues caused or inflamed by thyroid issues? There's such a deep connection. And the kidneys, within the chakra system are connected to the creation chakra, but they're also within the kidneu-adrenal-thyroid axis. So it makes total sense that one will affect the other. I love that you brought this up! As for shaking, every time I've recounted abuse/trauma I would begin shaking. It was as if I was freezing cold and shivering from the inside out, with no way to warm up. And my teeth would literally start to chatter. I felt like a freak until I learned about the need for the psoas to shake in order to release trauma. Now I am very grateful to my body for nurturing me through. This same "shiver " shaking occurred for me during both of my births when I was in transition, actually. I really hope you will create more content on this topic! I've read about exercise techniques which are designed to work the psoas in such a way that it will trigger that automatic shaking, specifically for a trauma release and healing. I'm very intrigued by it.
@vibrantpelvichealth Жыл бұрын
Absolutely, the connections between our physical, emotional, and energetic systems are profound. Hormonal imbalances and thyroid issues can indeed impact menstrual health and vice versa. The intricate interplay between chakras and our body's systems highlights the holistic nature of our well-being. Your insights about the kidneys, adrenals, and thyroid within the chakra system are on point. The body's interconnectedness means that disruptions in one area can reverberate through others. It's amazing how our body communicates with us, often through sensations like shaking. Shaking, as you described, can be a natural response to trauma or intense emotional experiences. It's a part of the body's way of releasing pent-up energy and tension. I'm glad to hear that you've found solace and healing through understanding the psoas's role in this process. Your interest in exercise techniques designed for trauma release is intriguing. Exploring methods that work with the body's innate responses can indeed aid in healing. I appreciate your enthusiasm for this topic and your encouragement to create more content on it. I'll certainly take your suggestion into consideration. Thank you for sharing your insights and experiences. Your journey and understanding of these connections are valuable reminders of the intricate harmony within us. Keep nurturing and listening to your body, as it's a profound source of wisdom. 🌟

@@vibrantpelvichealth thanks so much for taking the time to respond and considering my suggestions 💜 Your content has been immensely valuable. I absolutely love healing work, and my focus has been more on the emotional and energetic for many years. This is also my area of continued training and work with others, as well as myself - specifically in the realm of EFT, OneBrain and REBT, with some NLP. But I am very excited by connecting this with our physical healing, and I appreciate so much that you emphasize this connection. This is why I am so drawn to your work. We are whole beings, and our approach to healing needs to be holistic if we want to make true and lasting progress. You get it! I'm about to make some content on self sabotage in regards to healing, as a way of punishing/exposing our perpetrators. This is something that came up for me as I was journaling through a flare. I'm not sure if you've created any videos on this, or have thoughts, but I'd love to hear from you if that's something you have insight on. I think this is a very big component to healing that I've observed in many people dealing with chronic conditions who have survived trauma, including myself. Nurturing ourselves to feeling safe and validated emotionally, physically, and energetically is the key to moving forward.

I am coming out of 20 years if very conservative religion. I am very good at regulation of my emotions and feelings...shoving them away because they aren't appropriate or they are bad. Ive been doing sauna, stretching, movement, dance and singing again like I did as a teen before I jumped wholeheartedly into religion. Its been so healing, but I have so far to go! I am so used to not feeling, to ignoring my emotions and my body. Thank you for this video, it encourages me to keep doing what my intuition has told me to do for healing ❤❤❤❤

I can attest to it..maybe it was depression but in 2017 when i started to go on with therapy for anxiety and agoraphobia i would put on music that had meaningful lyrics to me..and it made me move in ways when i danced that isnt conventional so to speak...and i would cry during it. And after..idk why but that was my experience. Maybe because for those moments i felt free and that was the only thing that mattered was moving my body cuz it felt good..when other times it wouldnt because of anxiety...it was always at the end of the day when everyone was asleep..it was definitely sad..but i will never forget how freeing it was....maybe it was natural instincts idk...omg yess the imagination..id imagine myself performing my sadness and anxious thoughts idk lol and i guess it was healing to imagine i can just be and LIVEE in the moment despite my fears and sadness..i fullly felt those emotions..

OMG I absolutely love this!! Have you ever experienced MFR (John F Barnes method)?!? This is exactly the concept that we use in our body work (especially unwinding)! What is the first thing that happens when the ambulance gets to the accident scene…strap them to the board! We aren’t allowed to shake it off! Now the breath…Heck Yes!…I am an avid Wim Hoffer (I’d say advanced) and the importance of breath and for me relaxing into cold exposure…life changing! James Nestor’s book “Breath”…amazing! I would love to connect with you on this subject!!

Wonderful content! the body naturally releases, and our society teaches us to repress that and be ashamed of it. I liked the music on this video, I found it soothing and a nice change of pace. Is there a video on the KZbin channel that just demonstrates the movements? Especially something dynamic vs yoga/stretching, that I can get up from my desk and do.

I got very emotional watching this video. 😢 I have experienced crying at the end of a yoga session. It's been a while. But this video seemed to do that. I've been scouring your videos and doing most of them. I haven't been diagnosed per se, but 99% sure i have pelvic floor dysfunction. Hypersonic, I'm thinking. My biggest issue right now is not eliminating normally. I'm currently using dr. Schultz formula 1 to help. But I'm hopeful I will get back to normal. Thank you for your kind heart. Wishing you a blessed 2024🎉🎉🎉🎉

In the context and understanding that the spiritual always override the physical, it makes 100% perfect sense that our bodies would respond in such a contracted and non-releasing way, as a correlating sign, or substantial evidence that our emotions were never validated and negated and never allowed to flow through freely, by our emotionally immature parents or caregivers, therefore initiating and causing the restrictions of flow through the body. Not being allowed to vocally express just amplifies the repression and negating of emotions, amplifying and compounding the build up of the negative emotions within the body....It really makes a whole lot of sense now.....in hindsight, lol

I absolutely love your channel! You are so helpful ❤ May I ask what does it mean when you only experience a prolapse around the time of my menstrual cycle?
@vibrantpelvichealth Жыл бұрын
Experiencing prolapse symptoms solely during your menstrual cycle may be an indication that the hormonal fluctuations are playing a role in the perception of the symptoms. However, it's still crucial to consult with a healthcare professional, such as a gynecologist or a healthcare provider specializing in pelvic floor health, for a proper evaluation and personalized advice. ~ Leila from Vibrant Support

Hello Dr, can you show me how to the true shacking to release trauma from my body.
@vibrantpelvichealth Жыл бұрын
Trauma release exercises often involve spontaneous shaking or trembling, which can help discharge stored fight-or-flight responses in the body. Find a quiet and safe space where you won't be disturbed. Stand with your feet hip-width apart, close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and try to connect with your body. Allow your body to start shaking or trembling spontaneously, without trying to control it. Focus on steady breathing, and let the shaking continue as long as it feels comfortable. Afterward, rest and relax, noticing any changes in how you feel. Keep in mind that this process may bring up strong emotions, and it's advisable to work with a trained therapist if you find it overwhelming. They can provide guidance and support during trauma release exercises. ~ Vibrant Support

I haven't had shoulder neck pain since the rotator cuff surgery. The pelvic spasms started a couple of months later. Are you sure there aren't torn tendons or ligaments there too. If stress stops the pain, I'll be delighted, but I don't know. I'm athletic btw but I do have stress that is now easing up, so we'll see. I hope so. Thank you for the encouragement ❤

Thanks for sharing that insight! You're absolutely right - the "4 F" responses to trauma and stress are fight, flight, freeze, and fawn. It's important to recognize these diverse responses and how they impact individuals differently. 📚💡

Dr Bri, I suffer from chronic pelvic floor tightness but through pelvic floor PT I’m able to manage my symptoms. One thing I struggle with though is how to shut my brain from constantly thinking about it. I try to direct my attention elsewhere but sometimes it’s just really difficult and I sit here and just do nothing but think about it which sometimes I think myself into my symptoms…if that makes sense. Any tips on how to redirect my thoughts?
@vibrantpelvichealth Жыл бұрын
It's understandable that managing chronic symptoms can often occupy a significant portion of your thoughts, making it challenging to redirect your attention elsewhere. Here are some tips to help you with this: Cultivate mindfulness and increase awareness of your thoughts. When you notice your mind drifting back to your symptoms, gently acknowledge those thoughts without judgment and bring your focus back to the present moment. Engage in activities that capture your attention and bring you joy or relaxation. Hobbies, creative pursuits, exercise, or spending time with loved ones can help shift your focus away from your symptoms. Practice cognitive reframing techniques to challenge negative thoughts. Replace them with positive and empowering statements, focusing on your progress and aspects of your life that bring you happiness and fulfillment. Explore relaxation techniques like deep breathing exercises, progressive muscle relaxation, or guided imagery to calm your mind and release tension associated with constant thoughts about your symptoms. Consider seeking support from a therapist specialized in chronic pain or cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) for guidance and strategies to reframe your thoughts, manage your symptoms, and improve your overall well-being. Redirecting your thoughts takes time and practice, so be patient and compassionate with yourself. If persistent thoughts interfere significantly with your daily life or cause distress, seek professional support.

Dr bri I’ve been having a real emotional time and I will start crying and won’t be able to stop… at what point is it unhealthy to keep crying?
@vibrantpelvichealth Жыл бұрын
Crying is such a beautiful and powerful release! I encourage you to let it flow... Let those tears come... Welcome them. The more you resist your tears (and try to hold them back), the more they'll build up and come out at a time when they're unexpected and possibly unwelcome. So if you're in a safe space, let them go and let them flow. NOTE: If you're having a lot of emotional difficulty right now, then I encourage you to talk to a counselor or mental health professional who can help you through this challenging time. You will get through this! There is a light at the end of this tunnel!
