How to release the handwheel with a clutch or servo motor

You are a lifesaver. My first day at my new job, I went home with severe pain from wrestling the hand wheel all day. You’d be surprised how many muscles are apparently involved, because my entire right side hurt up to my neck and down to my hip. Anyway - I went home that night looking for solutions and found this video, and my second day of work the wheel gave me zero trouble thanks to the technique you showed.

Wow! Thank you so much for this video. My handwheel on my Juki 8700 w/ servo motor was next to impossible to turn. I tried this and it works beautifully!

Wow, this makes me feel quite stupid 😂 of course i was trying to turn the entire motor when i was using the handwheel without freeing it up.... i was going crazy trying to see if there was stuck thread or sewdust, took apart the machine.... thank you so much for this video! (Inherited a juki ddl-8500 from my mom. It has no manuals online, so i've duking it out with similar series models and youtube videos with other machines- i have it woeking but this was my final trouble! Now i just have to play the needle match game...)

You should not feel stupid. It is not in the manual for either the machine or the motor.

What if its still stiff even when stepping on the pedal slightly

I just received a new 20u43 singer and out of the box the wheel is not turning I have belts coming. is this normal for it not to turn until belts are installed? Also do you happen to have a picture of how the knee lift for that machine should be installed. Manual is not clear and I have researched everywhere on how to engage the metal piece to push the lever. thank You.
