I got this idea stuck in my head that Big could have escape room gameplay. The level would start with big having caught froggy and now he needs to get out of the level where he could use is fishing rod as a grappling hook, move objects around, maybe he could get his umbrella to glide. He could have a roll that can bust through walls and doors and that picks up a lot of speed through momentum too. Just the idea that big's level requires thinking would be so funny to me.

@@glowdonkimo, the biggest crime from Blind Squirrel is the fact that they Ai upscaled the in engine cutscenes. When they had access to the original Maya (3D animation software used to make the cutscenes) files. And most of those cutscene files are in the PC version of the game.

@@mmoVSmmo Blind Squirrel really just sucks. The cutscenes are presumably like that because the devs ran out of time due to their shoddy management. But instead of just patching the planned recreations in later, they simply fled the scene after enough patches to not make the remaster a scam.

I love your idea about combining both Chao Gardens, and this may be a bit of a stretch, but it would be cool if you could connect your phone to the garden to act as a VMU/GBA replacement. It would be awesome to have something like that.

Chao garden app would be awesome. On top of that, it would be cool if you could select a chao to take out with you to float around you during action stages and walking around the hub world. Having them with you could strengthen their affinity toward your chosen character and maybe their stats could even change depending on what stages you take them to or what character you're playing as

Instead of having 6 different stories to play through, I would want them to experiment with a single continuous story where you switch characters every so often. It might even flow together better.

That's basically what Sonic Adventure 2 did, it made it a lot more streamlined. You miss out on getting the different perspectives on character campaigns though. Like, it is tedious watching the same cutscene up to 4 times, but each time there are different voicelines.

That's just adventure 2 but worse due to double the amount of playstyles, plus even then that doesn't really work because each story is rather self contained, so you'd essentially be constantly switching between 6 different narratives, which could easily be quite confusing and lead people to lose track of what's happening

I think it’s a risky decision, usually I’d rather have them stay separate. I really didn’t like Adventure 2 which did that because it was really imbalanced, I’d get 5 minutes of Sonic then 20 minutes of knuckles and 40 minutes of tails and 20 minutes of knuckles just to get another 5 minutes of Sonic. And sure, I did enjoy the knuckles gameplay, but tails was horrible and he has the majority of the screen time, and Sonic had the least gameplay time despite being the main character. SA1 has a better balance in a way since Sonic is the main character again, but I can imagine people getting bothered by playing through 5 other gameplay styles (even if they are all shorter than SA2’s other gameplay sessions). I think if it was to be done it should be split somehow, with a Main story and a Side story, with the former having the main 3 and the other having the remaining characters. It might also be worth having an 06-style thing where you switch characters mid game, with Big being devoted to a mini game and the others being used for short sections. But I’m not sure how it should best be handled, I honestly quite liked the 6 separate campaigns thing, and having them be short doesn’t really bother me since they clearly aren’t the main gameplay styles.

@@justanotheryoutubechannel honestly I just think the best thing they could do is re-imagine the entirety of SA2 and in the process add a couple new levels for sonic (and especially shadow) and scale down/remove some of the other gameplay styles, so despite sticking to the hero/dark story thing while still having you play as sonic more

That wouldn't be for me. I hate sonic adventure 2 forcing me to play knuckles and tails stages that I hate and are annoying to play through. That's the only reason I haven't finished the game and am not a big fan of the game. I hate the knuckles and tails stages

I don't know how I feel about an Adventure remake. I have a feeling that the remakes wouldn't be faithful to the original, and if it is, I still don't think it'd be viewed as highly as the original is. Although, I do think this would probably do better critically, which I think is probably better for the franchise. By the way, Matt, that multiple endings thing is an amazing idea! I don't know why, I just like the idea of multiple endings in games, and I think your pitches for them in this game is fantastic! :D

How much should the remake be faithful to then? Like obviously, they should polish it up, remove all the glitches, and fix the animations and cutscenes. But how faithful should it be? One to one like Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy? Or something like the Resident Evil 2 or FF7 Remake, where it has the basic ideas of the original, but modernized and improved and given a new life. Personally, I would rather it be the latter than the former, as I feel like Sonic Adventure could benefit from that type of remake. Expand the levels, give us multiple acts, expand the hub worlds, and flesh out the story more. That's what I want at least.

I like your idea for multiple endings! That way casual players who don't really care much about the story details can still get a well-rounded experience, but people who are more invested in Sonic lore can dive deeper if they want to. That, and all S ranking levels to unlock Super Sonic feels similar to the challenge the classic games provided in gathering the Chaos Emeralds in special stages. I don't recall if you mentioned this or not, but I would also love more to do in the hub worlds, as well as more traversal options like in Frontiers. I always loved the hub worlds and the aesthetic of them, but there was just nothing to do other than go from point A to B. Maybe adding more collectibles or items for the chao garden, like the eggs but even more? Like accessories, or seeds for different trees, etc. Or even cosmetic items for the characters. Honestly, I think the story is perfect as is and I'd be disappointed to see any extreme changes, though I do think that an Adventure remake would be the perfect opportunity to build on some of the lore elements that were introduced in Frontiers regarding Chaos and the Chaos Emeralds, etc and make it feel a bit more like that was the intention for those elements from the start. The game itself is solid and was just a victim of technological limitations of its time, imo.

There is a reason why every time a hub appeared after SA1, it had missions and/or plattforming challenges in them. Sonic Team clearly agrees that station square is too boring and funny NPC-interactions alone cannot carry it.

I would like Sonic Team to expand the adventure fields toward an open zone formula like Sonic Frontiers if they do remake Sonic Adventures, as well as Unleashed and Colours

I liked the ideas that you proposed and I would like to add some ideas of my own: 1-Add a mode that allows the story to be played in some sort of chronological order with the characters changing between stages, this would also help in making the game less repetitive since you won't have to fight Chaos 4 three times for example, and after completing this mode it should play the good ending. 2-Make the early version of Windy Valley an extra stage: maybe add a new area in the Mystic Ruins with some kind of puzzle and after you complete that puzzle a gate or something would open leading to the level. 3-Make the hub worlds connected: this will definitely require the most work but I think it will make it a big selling point, like for example instead of the train being the only way to connect Station Square to the Mystic Ruins add a connection between the two areas, and while we’re at it I do also think they should add some charming small cutscenes if you decide to get between using the train to the Mystic Ruins, or the boats to the Egg Carrier (like the cutscenes in Spider-Man PS4 for the quick travel points) 4- After completing the game they should allow the player to change the time to whatever they want, or maybe add a day-night cycle, this would be interesting for seeing how would stages like Emerald Coast look during the night for example.

What I would want from an Sonic Adventure reimagining is that they play MORE into how the story is based around everyone's perspectives. I think cutscenes and story would have to be made more personally with everyone's internal thoughts and expressions like you uncover the real feelings everyone must have had in their own respective stories. Have the voices be different from each character's playthrough to feel like it is Sonic and his friends thinking back to the adventure that had happened from their own recollection of the story whether it is made with bias or not. Turn those text passages of the characters reminding you of what happened in their story into Egg Memos-likes to gain more insight of what the characters thought about past events. Also Big? Just make him extra content that's not required to get the true ending or even maybe true ending+ Just because he had bad gameplay and was infamous for it doesn't mean he should be rid of, he's part of the charm of Sonic Adventure and Dreamcast wanting to advertise Sega Bass Fishing. And he's famous because he was a forced aspect of Sonic Adventure in the first place. #KeepBig

Matt i really love the momentum idea with the loops not having any scripts but you also have to think sbout the camera angles as well to make a vetter experience

I think if Sonic doesn't have enough momentum to get through the loop, it'd make since for the camera angle to return back to 3rd person view. At least that's how I'd handle it, I probably should have mentioned that in the video.

If a remake included Big with his usual gameplay, I would want it to do this; When selecting his story, you are given the ability to play a "prologue" if you wish. This would be a 1-level thing. It would take place before Big's story, and just be an interactive tutorial set in the Mystic Ruins. Maybe have Froggy be your guide, speaking to you in text bubbles and explaining the mechanics - pressing down to ensure a capture especially. You'd beat the stage by reeling in Froggy, who offered himself up as a thing to catch. It would be important to have Froggy be who you capture in the tutorial as to not confuse you in the regular levels. He would of course be tailless, and pretty easy to reel in.

That would be great, the only reason I haven't finished SA1 is because I got stuck on Big's first level and couldn't figure it out, I was considering save editing to skip his story. I recently bought the game on Steam so I'm gonna give him another go.

@@CaptBlock Hopefully it helps! Big's story is really quick if you can get the knack of it. I do this; -Aim around about where Froggy is -Let the lure sink to his level -Repeatedly tap down on the control stick When he's near it, he will eventually b-line for the lure. Tapping down guarantees a bite. Then you just have to be careful when reeling in.

@@danyo5786 I personally don't enjoy games that put mandatory tutorials at the start. Makes future playthroughs slow to start. It should be optional, but highly signposted as something new players should do. Especially with something like Big's fishing, the best way to learn how to do it is through playing. You could have the mechanics explained to you, but if it's not stated step-by-step as you're playing something, I reckon most people would forget the instructions before they get to Twinkle Park.

I think a set of Adventure remakes would be great, and your ideas seem pretty reasonable. I'd probably add in Heroes with that remake, just to give it a bit more to play with, and maybe another game. Something like a remade Sonic Shuffle with better...everything, just so you and your friends can still play, even after you've completed everything. I also had an idea where instead of Adventure and Adventure 2 having their own separate gardens, you can just mesh them together and go there through something like the title screen or a game select similar to the one Origins has. A lot of cool stuff could be done with all sorts of remakes, like the Riders Trilogy getting another chance (especially Free Riders), the Storybook games could be controlled with not motion controls, the Advance Trilogy (and Battle) could make their return with wide-screen so you can see stuff in front of you, etc. Definitely excited to see where these remakes are heading.

This is Honestly the best pitch i have heard for a Sonic Adventure Reimagining! The tie in with SA2 and the chao garden! the endings and the fishing stuff! Honestly matt if we ever got a Sonic Adventure Remake this is how i would want it! i hope Sega Watches and does this man that would be awesome! Amazing video will be watching the next one!

I too thought that they should combine an SA1 & 2 remake but that idea to have both games share the same chao gardens is actually genius 👏🏾 If they did combine both games tho, I’d go even further and actually connect the games and have SA1 go directly into SA2 after the fight with perfect chaos meaning the power ups from SA1 would transfer over.

16:33 the reason for the dash panels in spots like that is very young gamers don't know how to spin dash. Sonic adventure was my first video game at 3 years old and spin dashing wasn't something I knew I could do that young so the dash panels was a nice quick way to boost speed on foot without dashing

Some things I would add are: 1. Cosmetic items like shoes, outfits and models from other games, that are all purchasable with rings. 2. Do not use the current character designs, but update the ones from the original game. 3. Make beta Windy Valley an unlockable stage. 4. Make Metal Sonic unlockable after the first ending, and Shadow after the second ending.

I personally prefer the ideas Ruby of Blue presented, but this is still a cool idea. Here's my ideas for elaborations. 1: How do we play as the other characters? That part wasn't made clear. 2: For Big specifically, I'd place him around the game the same way 3D Blast does with Tails and Knuckles. If you run into him in the stages, you play the fishing stages, with all the fish besides Froggy being useful for Big's Shop. If you run into Big in the Stages you can access Big's shop and buy things. 3: ONLINE CHAO GARDEN. Also, keep the two Chao Gardens Separate but let you transfer Chao between games. 4: Update Windy Valley to include the Beta section as a fourth part of the stage. 5: Unlock Big as a character to use in the stages.

I fully agree with this video. I don’t want the S ranks to be too hard: I’d say it would be a bit harder than S ranking for stage 1-2 for Sonic Frontiers. Other things I’d like to add are: An option like Crash 4 where people who don’t like a life system don’t need to have lives on, HOWEVER if u die, your score and rings will be reset. If your playing on hard mode(yes I’d also like to add a hard mode)and u don’t play with lives, you’ll also gain +2 seconds to your timer. Lives on will only reset your rings since you have lives so it’s a good compromise imo. Things I also would like to add/change are: Reticle for the homing attack. Pretty simple A PvP system for the chao garden. What I mean by this is that since there’s Online Multiplayer now, u can race against other peoples chao and what other stuff u could do. There will be a leaderboard that will reset around every 2-3 months. If ur in the top 5000 best chaos for a specific event you’ll receive the Bronze Chao. If you’re in the top 2000 you’ll receive the Silver Chao. If you’re in the top 1000 you’ll receive the Golden Chao. If you’re in the top 500 you’ll receive the Platinum Chao. And if you’re in the top 100 you’ll receive the Diamond chao. These chao are also able to be gotten through the store however they’ll be VERY hard to get and you’ll have to grind a ton of rings to get it. Instead of big not being playable, he’ll be the one fishing instead of sonic. It’ll be a bit more true of the OG. Maybe some skins like with Sonic Superstars and Frontiers could be cool. This might be a hot take but make it next gen only. The reason why I wanna do this is so it can look really good. It could have full Raytracing Support, 120hz for performance mode etc. Not to mention the ps4 will no longer be supported from late fall this year to early 2024 onward so the remake being on old gen will be very low. Sonic Forces and Mania could’ve launched on PS3 and 360 since they were still supported in 2017, but they didn’t, so why would they now as well. I’d like to add something to true ending+. Like I said before Id also like to add difficulty mode . Now u need to S rank all levels for all characters on HARD MODE. Beating it will now also open Extreme mode. Extreme mode will only have a lives mode. The punishments for dying in no lives mode will now be in Extreme mode, which u can only play with lives. The S rank will also be harder. Last but not least I’d like to make the hub worlds like mini Open Zones, so the hub worlds will have some level design that u can mess around with and get some rings for the chao garden and the hub worlds will be a bit bigger than normal. If u guys agree or disagree let me know, would love to hear u guys’ opinions!

I would love the idea of a remake expanding the story with little more pieces of lore like showing more connection between the knuckles tribe and the ancients from Frontiers, or more relations between the tribe and professor Gerald

I have an idea for Bigs levels, make him kind of like a beat ‘em ups type of style. Like the werehog levels where he has to protect Froggy from Eggmans robots. And there can be a combo meter and the way you get S ranks is to hit the maximum of combos. Either that style or just make Bigs gameplay one to one with Sonics gameplay as a little joke. Make Big just as fast as Sonic and can spin dash, I think that would be really funny considering everyone hated Bigs campaign but loves Sonics.

resident evil 4 remake made me realise that the sonic adventure remake could be done incredibly well. if one of the best games ever made could be made even better, why cant sonic get the same treatment?

Here's how to fix Amy's hammer. When stopping, have her charge her hammer and bounce high to get up to higher platforms. That way if you don't have space to run but you need to get up higher, just charge it up and release. When running, keep the normal hammer jump so you can do crazy flips and stuff. That's fine as it is. Her momentum can use some work though. Have her pick up speed faster and give her some more hammer attacks that don't screw with her momentum. Think of the hammer she uses in Superstars. Maybe have different attacks tied to different buttons. Have a horizontal spin, a jumping vertical spin, a regular swing where she bashes enemies in front of her, and a hammer toss that acts as a boomerang.

Love the idea, man. But i have a few things im cooking up like remy. I think for the post game content, there should be a post story where they fix up station square. Make collect tools and such in their levels. Make them save people in like bunkers and such. Next, and it will sound crazy, make e-102 gamma stages into a third-person shooter, like sunset overdrive or fortnite(sorry for saying it,ik im was born 2 min ago). Maybe even get a pnline component into it? Imagine cranking 360 no-scopes on kids. Also, maybe add extra stages into the main game, maybe. Like you said with tails in a hypothetical sa3, have stage where he is on his own. Also, another crazy ass idea. Make amy story combat/platformer-ish, more on the platformer part. Make combos on emimes or boss fight. And the same with knuckles but on a more combat foucus. Also, make Station Square feel more open. Make it like a little game itself where you fine stuff. And another crazy ass idea it may coop. Idk how it would work. I could see omega and knuckles stages working in coop, but idk about the sonic stages. I'll probably just put it into a race mode or something. Maybe include laps and a way to take players. Some small changes are making the knuckles fight better, like doge attacks and not just spamming homming attacks like crazy. Of course, make the dialogue better and not like if 2 ai bots are talking. That should be really it. Like i said, I love the video man Also, i dont like the chao garden, sue me :)

I think that instead of chaos being killed in ending 1, he should be sealed away, with the implication that he will come back when there is nobody like sonic to stop him like how sonic said woild happen in the ending of the original

For the most part, I can definitely appreciate and respect the things proposed by Matt here. I do, however, have two proposals of my own that I’d like to throw out there… 1. Fix Sonic’s High-Speed Controls - A huge part of the reason you see so many dash pads and railroaded/scripted moments in Adventure 1 is because when moving at high speed, Sonic becomes seriously twitchy. And if often leads to situations where players can (and likely will) accidentally fling themselves off the sides of a pathway, usually resulting in said players being killed by a bottomless pit. (Honestly, you wouldn’t even need to do very much here from a programming standpoint; Just make it so that Sonic’s turning radius when moving at high speed is gradually increased by about 1.5 to 2 times his turning radius when moving at slower speeds and you’re golden.) 2. Let the Player make/customize their own Chao Garden - Someone in the comments below me mentioned the idea of being able to load your Chao Garden data onto your smartphone via an App, and while I think that’s a great idea on its own…I do think there needs to be something extra to keep players using the App. As such, I propose having a built-in feature that allows them to create their own unique Chao Garden by purchasing cosmetic items from an in-App (or in-game) store using Rings, Red Rings, Emblems, etc. You could also make it so that 100%-ing the game unlocks the ability to travel to any of the Chao Gardens at any time via WiFi/5G connection from your phone. (Honestly, I feel like having all the Chao Garden stuff be relegated entirely to an external phone App would probably be the best way to go about things in general, especially given how SEGA of Japan’s executives tend to be rather stingy when it comes to budgets and development time.)

So fun fact, I plan on learning coding so that I can make my own fan remakes of the first two Sonic Adventure games, as well as a new fan game in the style of the Adventure games using the experience from remaking the first two games, and watching through videos that discuss the idea of a "perfect" Sonic Adventure remake always helps me improve upon the several various concepts that I have noted down for when I do figure out how to code. If SEGA won't give us the remake that we want, then fine, I'll do it myself. Edit: Honestly I think the concept of making the other playable characters optional in exchange for getting a better ending if you do play them all is a really good idea as it rewards a full playthrough while not actually requiring it, letting people choose how much of the game they want. I also quite enjoy the idea of multiple phases in the true perfect chaos boss fight, and while I did grimace when you mentioned a third phase, that quickly turned around when I heard that it would just be a brief string of quick-time events, so I'm definitely keeping that third phase. The True Ending+ idea was a bit iffy to me at first, but honestly I've played through Adventure so many times at this point that I could easily S rank all of the staged. Recreating the physics so that the remake plays 1 to 1 with the original is a no brainer, but I also plan on adding new moves. Nothing too complex, just a little of something extra to keep it extra spicy. Also making loops less automated is a challenge, but I'll figure something out. Probably could go with Speed Simulator's approach where they turn you a bit to make sure you stay in the loop and don't go flying out of it. It's quite a seamless method really. Oh and Rankings coming back is also a no brainer lol. So for my sonic adventure 3 idea, there will be a flying playstyle that's available to three different characters, Tails being one of them obviously, and the level design is going to be a hybrid of Heroes/06's system where unique playable characters have their moments in the stage where they matter most, and Sonic Adventure's generalist with unique routes level design where a stage plays well for most play styles, but each stage has a play style that benefits from its level design, and there will even be some stages that go full adventure 2 mode and make the stage exclusive to one or two play styles so that way they can be designed around those play styles. (Yes, there is a stage built around the flight play style, and yes Tails is playable in it.) I don’t plan to entirely remove Big, rather I plan to give him a new play style that’s more centered around taking out badniks, and if anything I could center the game around exploring a stage full of badniks and trying to find which one is holding Froggy captive, with a radar similar to Knuckles’s emerald shard radar. This also gives the means for a vs Gamma boss fight at the end of Emerald Coast for big, which also translates into a vs Big boss fight for Gamma, which I plan on heavily reworking playable character boss fights and pvp interactions overall in my reimaginings, so this’ll be quite the show once I make it all happen. A shop where you can buy chaos drives and animals sounds quite convenient though, so I might try and figure out another way to make that happen. Bruh the amount of Chao abuse I just witnessed. But yes, Chao Garden is being reimagined with a few extra Chao variants to make things (as stated before) extra spicy. Also shared Chao Gardens is mid, Ima honestly just make a transfer system that lets you easily move a Chao between SA1 and SA2 without needing to open up the game’s internal files. Chao trading and visiting other people’s Chao Gardens sounds nice. Also I’d make the limited time Chao patterns (if I even did them) reproducible, so once you’ve got one you can breed an it for an egg of the same pattern and trade it with your friends, that way no limited time Chao gain any real world value due to exclusivity. That wraps things up, yes I’ve been a bit vague but that’s mostly due to wanting to preserve the secrecy of this project so that 1: people can’t steal it and make it on their own before I get a chance to learn how to code and 2: it can still preserve some of the shock factor that comes with trying out a new fan game and learning everything about it for the first time. Yes, you have inspired me greatly, but I have much more than what’s been stated here that’s yet to come. One day, once I’ve put in the time and effort to learn both how to code a game in the first place, as well as how great 3D Sonic level design should look, feel and play, you shall see my ideas in action, and hopefully find them all endearing. Looking forward to that Adventure 2 remake discussion video that’s in the works, because an Adventure 2 remake is what I’m the most lost on right now, as I personally do not enjoy it that much, as I only ever grew up with the first adventure game, but I still hope to stay true to the original as much as possible, and recapture what made it so great to so many people who grew up with it. I like fishing , I like how serene and relaxing it can be while you're waiting. Which is why I still hate Big's fishing , it was too intense for fishing. Plus Big's story introduces plot-holes , so it's better that he's just a side character. Being an animal that just lives near humans would illustrate it as possible.

The multiple endings thing is a cool idea, and a decent incentive to check out the other playable characters. Speaking of them, I would change the story mode structure. Instead of 6 campaigns with one character, you would play through 3 campaigns with 2 characters. This would minimize the amount of repeated cutscenes in the stories of these campaigns, as well as the number of times you have to replay bosses or special events. Did we really need to play through the Tornado attack section twice? At any point in the story, it will give you the option to switch characters in that story when they are together, like how Subspace Emissary did in Super Smash Brothers. Though there will be points where you can only play as Sonic or Tails in the story, such as the ending boss fights. I know you might be asking, what about Tails's final boss? Well, Eggman won't be piloting the walker directly, he'll be controlling it from the base so he can be there for Sonic's final battle. I also change the ending of Tails's story slightly, now the walker is set to self destruct after it goes down and that is what Tails has to disable instead of a missile. It was the biggest plot hole in the story, why does Eggman need Chaos if he can just nuke the city off the map? So instead of destroying the whole city, it will be stated to only destroy 2 city blocks. As for Tails's gameplay, I would remove the Sonic chasing aspect entirely and redesign the levels to better reflect his abilities. The Sonic chase aspect of the levels felt redundant and just plopping Tails in Sonic's levels made the playstyle way too easy. He can just fly over all the obstacles you would have gone through as Sonic. This time you would have to use his flight to cross large gaps and dodge enemies in the air. You can extend Tails's air time by destroying them, because you can now attack in mid air. That's a good a transition as any into talking about the changes I would make to Knuckles. I know this is a hot take, but I am confused as to why treasure hunting has become Knuckles's default playstyle. Yes, exploration was something you did in Sonic 3 and Knuckles, but the primary focus of his levels there was navigating the levels with his moves, using level design that reflected that. By making the emerald fragments mandatory to collect, it makes the exploration in his levels a tedious chore. This is why I'll make the emerald fragments essentially a reskinned goal ring, just with some doors blocking it that you need to flip switches to open. More or less like his Cannons Core level in Sonic Adventure 2. Amy, I would just use her Sonic Project 06 move set and functions, P 06 Amy is faster than Adventure Amy anyway. But I will add some more levels because of some changes to the story. The explanation for why she is suddenly faster in the story is because super speed will be like mutant powers in X-Men, where it will activate in their teens. So I aged up Amy by 3 years in this version, she'll get a version of Emerald Coast where she is testing out her powers. I reduced the number of levels Alpha will chase her in to just two, Twinkle Park and Sky Deck (or was it Hot Shelter, it's the other one on the Egg Carrier). She also will get levels where she tags along with Gamma as he's destroying the other E series robots. She should be smart enough to put two and two together that the other members of the bird's family are in the robots. Amy's ending in retail Sonic Adventure was set right after Gamma's anyway, so a simple change would be to put the Alpha boss fight before Beta MK2. That way Amy's dialog from her ending doesn't detract from the tragedy of Gamma's ending, which Amy witnesses in this version. Gamma will mostly stay as is, just without the time limit and enemies can shoot back so it isn't too easy. You were right on the money with just placing Big in the hub areas, that's exactly what I would do. But there will still be six playable characters in my vison for this remake and I did mention that there will be 3 campaigns with 2 characters. Sonic and Tails, Amy and Gamma, Knuckles and Tikal. Yes, I am making Tikal playable, only in flashback levels to the past. Her playstyle would be the treasure hunting style, just looking for Chao instead of emerald fragments. This would also mean that I am uploading all the flashbacks of her in the story to Knuckles's campaign, it made no sense that she would appear to Gamma or Big. The only thing I would change from the final story segment, is that there will be a level where you play as Tails, Amy, and Knuckles where they have to find two chaos emeralds in level segments before you transition over to Sonic/Super Sonic. I will keep your idea that you unlock the final story segment after beating one campaign, that way people won't be frustrated that they have to go through the other characters stories. The Chao Garden I could take or leave, I didn't really care that much for it, so your welcome to implement whatever changes to it you will.

Your vision of the perfect remake or remaster is very good and i absolutely agree with you. I hope they keep metal sonic a secret unlockable character when you finish all of the side missions in the game. The ideas of the chao garden was incredible! And the multiple endings idea is brilliant. And i want to add one more thing: when you finish all stages eith s rank and complete of the side and main missions in the game: you will unlock hyper sonic in the game. And it will be even faster than super sonic and it will be able to fly around with no limits and hyper sonic will also have that light speed attack from sonic 3&knuckles that one shot all of the enemies the a blink of an eye. It would be overpowerd. BTW the quick timing events are a very good idea and i did play the naruto shippuden games so i know what you are talking about. I would say that big would be a side fishing game that isn't related to the other characters but he still will be in the story and cutscenes obviously because of froggy. And just make his fishing system better. And i would love see tails and knuckles can turn super too just like in mania and in sonic 3&knuckles. I don't care sega! Just kidnapp anyone that has the same voice as the old voice cast. I don't want any goofy jokes or wierd voice acting! I want something that is almost identical to the original if possible.

I think it would be pretty cool if the remake had different chapters for each character. Going back and forth between characters, weaving their stories into one campaign. Giving everyone a more condensed and even cut of the gameplay (Sonic would definitely have more time than others).

For phase 2 of the perfect chaos boss fight it would be the same but instead of super sonic there would be super knux. for phase 3 instead of a ton of quick time events I would make it be you need to hit the boss 2 times for each character, knux would need to climb up the buildings so he can hit chaos from above, then sonic would need to avoid chaos until he blasts him up and sonic would need to jump from platform to platform or spindash jump to chaos. then you finish with quick time events. (note) in the true ending knuckles says that they can't kill him.

The fishing in Big's gameplay can be changed to be easier and quicker. Have it be more like Zelda games. As for the levels themselves, have Big use his fishing rod to hookshot and swing around to platforms. He should be able to smash through anything given his large size too. Maybe use his rod to lock onto faraway rings and item boxes too by zooming into first person mode with a target.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this, and I think if I was to remake the game the main thing I’d change would be the gameplay structure. I actually like the 6 separate character campaigns, but if I was to remake it I’d split the game into two stories, the Main campaign with Sonic, Tails and Knuckles and a side story with Amy and Gamma’s story, since they’re kinda intertwined. Stages in general would be extended and more characters would visit each area too. I’d change Tails’ gameplay a bit, rather than having racing stages that just repeat from Sonic, Tails would follow Sonic around during stages and during certain sections you would switch to him to complete a unique tails themed area that takes advantage of his abilities, like in 06 but better, and ideally without breaking the pacing. The racing gimmick would remain with a revisit to Speed Highway though, just like the original, since it’s so important to his story. Tails would also have unique routes through some of the stages he doesn’t play in his campaign, woven into the new campaign story. Knuckles gameplay would control similarly, if not the same, but the hint system would be changed to be more like SA2, with new geometry and textures added when necessary to make an SA2 style hint system work (by making each area more unique and identifiable), and before reaching the emerald hunting areas you would need to complete a knuckles route through the stage, like in S3&K. These would utilise his abilities and diverge from Sonic’s route significantly (or completely). The main campaign would still mostly focus on Sonic, with Tails sections and some exclusive levels, but it would also feature Knuckles (visiting a couple more stages than the original), creating more of an SA2 style story mode but with a better balance of characters. (We wouldn’t have 2 hours of other characters between Sonic stages) The side campaign would be similar to the original, but Amy would be faster and easier to move around. They might have more levels or extended versions of the levels they do have, but primarily they would just be there for story reasons. They would always appear in the ending just like if you played their campaigns, but you wouldn’t find out why they are there without playing their story. Big is a more difficult choice, I think I would probably include his gameplay as an extra you can unlock, adding a Big Fishing option to the menu and letting you play individual stages or the story mode. Since this would all be optional, cutscenes would be added to explain his story in the side campaigns. His stages would also control much better, that’s the key difference. After beating the main story, a final story option would appear in the menu like SA2, containing the super sonic fight. The ending would be the same as the original, but you would get extra scenes for each character you beat the campaign for, as a small reward. Everyone would always show up, regardless of story completion, but it would only be partially explained why they’re there. Overall, I think it would be a better way to structure the game for a modern audience, but it would be nice if there was an option to play the original so story structure with the the new graphics, cutscenes and voice acting. There’s other things I’d want to improve, like extending levels, bringing back Beta windy valley somehow, and adding extras to the game, plus a redesigned Chao Garden (animals would be automatically stored by the game, and when you enter a garden it would automatically add 20 animals from the store, rather than you carrying 10 animals and overwriting earlier ones when you get new ones, preventing you from wasting animals by playing the stages repeatedly without visiting the chao garden each time. It would also be awesome to see some kind of mobile app connect to the game, letting you take your chao with you like the Tiny Chao garden.) but the character story changes would be important if the game was to be a success today.

Honestly I hate the idea of the side stories being optional because I think it just makes the other characters unimportant to the whole story. The characters side of the story is what makes the story more enjoyable and what connect every thing together. The idea of big being a extra is good. I never had problems with the speed pad. Amy should still have a bit of build up but increase the acceleration of amy. Don't lower tails speed. Let everyone have a super form and unlock it by getting all endings. Change the way you get endings with one of them being for collecting all of a new collectible, getting all S ranks, and doing both. And with the fishing mini game you play as big. Also add more snowboarding levels or have that as a mini game or extra. And that's what I think.

I would like to have Big playable, just in a completely different way. With abilities like using your fishing rod to hook onto walls and poles in the level and swing and propel yourself forward to bowl through enemies with his body. This is a similar gameplay concept as Hammond from Overwatch, it's very fast and momentum/physics based.

My ideal SA remake is a full reimagining too, though I know this is not going to go well with people, so if it were up to me, I would pull in a classic mode that is closer to 1:1(Just with stuff like consistency-fixes you could easily do to the original storyscript without really overhauling anything) One could argue that this would mean twice as much work, but...eh. A lot of things can mostly be done once, and then just copied over with modifications. And a lot of the work on classic mode would already be done because it is largely just the same thing, except more polished. 4:01 I mean, just make it optional and have Big only show up in the final story-cutscenes if you did his story.(With those versions still being the canon one obviously) That is the only overhaul a 1:1 remake can actually get away with because his story matters jack all to the narrative, he is only there to explain where Froggy came from, but he does not even cameo in Gamma's story and is supposed to be unlocked after showing up in Sonic's story anyways, after which one does not even need that explanation anymore. The only cool moment he has(Where he gives his emerald to Sonic) was not even used in the original game despite the dialogue having been recorded, and is only shown in Sonic X.(Though yeah, restore this please) 6:06 That is only in the dub, which would get redone anyways. In japanese, the script is more dry and basic if anything, which idk if I prefer that or the cheese. The rest of the problems are the cutscene animations(and the load of gameplay-animations that are thrown in) which they especially have to redo because there is no way any reasonable modern model is going to be compatible with them anyways. Heck, if we take recent games as evidence, then they are just going to prerender these cutscenes instead of having them play out in-engine.(Which is a bad thing imo, but that is how this has worked since at least Unleashed.) 6:44 This is not the one, chief. SA1's story is not that amazing, it's room temperature water. 8:26 Is there any direct reason why Chaos is dead here? If we cannot come up with a narrative reason for why these endings are diffrent, we can simply use the version of multiple endings where they actually are the same, but context is cut from versions you get for achieving less. As in, since I see no real reason why the final fight could occur but Chaos would be dead afterwards(With the canonical explanation, the only way for Chaos to not be neutralized would be for the Super Form to not be activated, which would be a bad end), just let him live. 8:58 Chaos dying is not what happens tho. This would just confuse people several stories later when Chaos DOES appear/get mentioned again. Even if Sonic continuity is wonky, we should still think about later stuff, not only the very next game.(Or actually...we should think about it specifically because remakes are the best way to fix narrative hickups and ideally not create them, since like 90% of the continuity-issues are not storyvital and could be rewritten without majorly changing the story of each respective game) 17:21 So like Unwiished day stages, which is a preexisting ranking system. 20:19 Easy solution: Just replace the fishing with something resembling the Zelda OOT-fishing, minus the RNG factor. Hard solution: Give him actual exploration levels(Ice cap was pretty decent with that for the upgrades) and make the fishing ponds optional bonus-ministages. If this second solution is implemented, the campaign can be given its mandatory-status back(Or in the case of your concept, the status of a story that impacts the final story upon completion). 21:23 Honestly no. It was neat as a distraction in Frontiers, but it is mechanically braindead easy and simple to the max so it wouldn't work in a non-open zone game. I may as well say "nobody should be required to raise Chao for 100% either" and even tho it is correct and the gigantic grind being a reason many people did not 100% these games, you wouldn't kick them out because people already enjoyed them. I don't see how fishing would be much diffrent once it is overhauled to be fun to at least a set of people. 24:20 I already had the vague feeling that the "reason why the doublepack is absolutely needed" is not actually much of a reason at all.(If anything, a better reason would have been to include SA1-stuff in the SA2 multiplayer or play SA2 chars in SA1 freemode or sth like that.) I mean, you are aware that savefiles are almost exclusively stored on the mainplattform these days and savedata-detection is more technically mature than ever, right? You do not have to have the garden-system physically shared to pull this off, you can simply program in cross-compatibility. Infact, huge elements of this already existed in the original games despite being largely unable to do such a thing, that is what the transfer-stations are meant to be for, to send your Chao between the games(SA1/DX, 2/2B and Advance) using VMUs and Link-cables. Not being able to send Chao these days is an artificial issue the PC-ports created because Sega of China couldn't be bothered to implement it.

This video has been very well-constructed, and your arguments make complete sense. I agree with almost all that you say. If SEGA listens to your video, we’d receive an amazing game! I would personally feel differently about a few things, however: -the final Chaos battle should not have quick-time events but something challenging that would extend the duration of the battle. -Tikal should appear with different cut scenes in each playable character’s story (similar to how they’ve already had things) -the ranking system could include “exploration”-like how much ground has been covered. This could encourage exploration and also allow for a higher score by losing time to explore the stages. -Gamma stages may benefit by being made larger. Maybe more expanded-versions of what already exists to make things less linear. -Instead of removing Big as a required playable character, he can be hidden as an unlockable playable character as bonus content. This way, he can still be integrated into the story but not be required to play to complete the game. Also, his gameplay style should be improved-maybe it could be influenced by his play style in Sonic Heroes.

I think the six campaigns being required for the story is a core aspect of the game and Adventure 1 would be missing something without it. I'd instead have all the extra playable characters play more like Sonic, with the level objectives being kept the same. That is, except for Big. I'd throw out the fishing and - hear me out on this one - turn his gameplay into Castlevania, with the fishing rod being used as a whip. I'd also include a secret ending to set up the events of Adventure 2 (for example, Eggman crash lands onto wherever Gerald Robotnik's research is located and discovers the existence of Project Shadow).

The great thing about having both game's Chao Gardens is that you will have more Chao slots available overall, meaning that Chao breeding would be easier. I never felt like breeding Chao because the game would guilt me when I tried to get rid of them. I wouldn't make the SA1 Gardens purchasable though, even if it is just rings.

A few things I would do differently about Playable Characters: The story select screen where you choose your character is removed (though still accessible through mission select). Instead for Story Mode, characters are made available to play by finding them in the hub areas and interacting with them to play as them. On a first time playthrough as Sonic, they are only available during story sections in which they would have stages available to them at that point of the story. However, if you choose not to do these, completing Sonic's story simply unlocks them all in places that make sense for them to hang around and you gain access to all their unfinished story content from there. Sonic, Tails and Knuckles would play the same. No need to fix what isn't broken. In the case of Big, he is made entirely optional with all of his important story information conveyed through other characters stories instead. He exists as more of an optional minigame, with no contribution towards any endings or unlockables. His gameplay is pretty much the same, except catching Froggy only gives you the option to leave the stage at any time instead of leaving immediately. In the case of Tails, his progression is shared with Sonic's with the player being able to play as either character in certain levels and still get story progress for both characters aside from when the two are split up in which case their progression is still split. When these splits happen, the player is given the option to choose which character to play as and can continue with the other's stage later. Amy should have a higher running speed, and I would rework her hammer attack a bit. Standing still or moving slowly, you do two horizontal swings and then the downward swing, or you can charge up a horizontal spinning attack that makes her dizzy if not canceled before a certain amount of time. While running you can do the hammer flip to gain more height than a normal jump, and if you press attack again in midair you do a downwards vertical spin and pound the ground with the hammer. This can function either as a downward stomp, or retain some forward momentum depending on whether there's also directional input. Gamma would play more similarly to Tails and Eggman from SA2; the time limit is removed and he can fire individual gunshots through button mashing instead of having to lock on to targets. Instead of regaining time through large combos, he gets larger score bonuses that contribute towards his ending rank, and he has a health bar that functions like Tails and Eggman's from SA2. The time limits aren't entirely removed from his gameplay however, but exist instead as set times on certain later stages in which it makes sense for him to be urgently trying to finish his mission before it's too late. There are three unlockable characters playable in mission mode who play as variations of other characters. Metal Sonic returns as a clone of Sonic. He has the Black Shield instead of Spindash and a higher jump height. He can destroy enemies by "running" through them while at high enough speeds to enter his hover animation, but is still vulnerable to projectiles and other hazards. Cream gets upgraded from an SADX cameo to a full fledged playable. She can't fly up as high as Tails, but gets tired much less quickly. Instead of a melee attack, she can command Cheese to attack enemies for her, making her the most long ranged character in the game. Cheese can also break monitors for her. Finally, Chaos plays similarly to Knuckles, but has a slower, longer range punch, a higher jump height, and can breath underwater. While underwater Chaos only loses one ring on hit and doesn't receive knockback. Instead of gliding like Knuckles, Chaos has a double jump, but he can still climb walls and dig for treasure. In the case of Super Sonic, he is unlocked as playable in all Sonic's stages not from S ranking all stages, but from viewing the True ending. This lowers the ending count from three to two. Super Sonic retains his iconic invincibility and will not even die if you touch water or other death pits. He can fly around freely, with a button to ascend and another button to descend. He can't jump, but can still homing attack against any enemies in range. Exclusive to Super Sonic is the Boost, which has no meter and can be used infinitely, even in the air. The general concept is for him to be an overpowered joyride given out as a reward to players who cared enough to play as all the characters (except maybe Big) and view the true ending. Because Super Sonic isn't locked behind S rank completion, S ranks instead give out Emblems. Emblems are rewarded similarly to in the original game, but are farmable and instead of unlocking missions in mission mode and such (these are just available after unlocking particular characters and stages) they can be spent at a shop in Station Square on various cosmetics for the characters, such as cosplay from other SEGA franchises and other sorts of alternative outfits and accessories. The more difficult/impressive the feat done to unlock an emblem, the more emblems you get. For example, simply finishing a stage gives out one emblem, but doing so with an S rank gives out an additional four emblems bringing the total up to five. You can also find them hidden around the hub areas and in stages. Think park tokens from Colors Ultimate except with less lame rewards.

I'm surprised that your first instinct was not to make a video about remaking or remastering Unleashed! Still though, this video was great, and I fully agree with all of your ideas. I really hope at least some of these come to fruition if the Adventure remakes happen. Personally, I'm also hoping they remaster Heroes, the Advance trilogy, the Rush trilogy, the Riders trilogy, Unleashed, and Generations (there might be other remasters/remakes I'm forgetting that I want, but those are what I can remember off the top of my head).

Really good video, and I really love Sonic Adventure 1, just as much as the second. Here are a couple of ideas I would use: 1: Though it would be a good idea for Sonic to be the only mandatory playable character, for a standard playthrough, you could burn through the game in 2 hours, 1 if you’re already a master of the original and get all S-ranks on the first try. If the sky is the limit, I would love for them to introduce an Act system for the levels. Act 1 is the original level design, Act 2 is a brand new remixed course, and a brand new mini-boss at the end of Act 2 for the emerald. More gameplay and no compromise on the story. 2: Incorporate a new mission mode into the overworld of the main game. With that, there is even more replayability, and an incentive to use other characters. Make a bunch of them act as trophies/achievements, and for doing the harder ones, you could unlock skins for your characters, or even new kinds of Chao available. 3: Keep the story bosses from the original, but have all characters there with you. For example, in the original, you fight Chaos 4 3 times, as Sonic, Tails and then Knuckles separately. Not anymore. Give Chaos 4 a few more moves and more health, then have Tails and Knuckles fight him alongside you. Maybe he doesn’t even come out of the water by himself, and you can’t hurt him in there, but there is a moment where he is leaving himself open to charge a devastating attack, so the three characters dive in to pull him out through a button mashing sequence. Then you can go up there on a lily pad and homing attack/tail slash/punch him as much as you can before the lily pad sinks into the water, giving him invulnerability again. This is just the first example that comes to mind. What’s to stop each big boss being an epic spectacle dynamic battle where each character pulls their weight. The solo battles could have that grand scale to them as well. 4: To make sure you can play as each character without their own separate scenario, there could be a FF9/Crash 4 system where Sonic would wonder how (character) is doing, unlocking a new Act of a level you’ve already finished, built to make use of that character’s moveset, or a boss exclusive to them. Purely optional, but there for completionists and people who haven’t played the original.

I have never played a sonic adventure game before but I do have a few ideas. I do think in a SA2 remake they would remove the soap shoes but an idea I had is if you could use your rings to buy cosmetics for characters kinda like how Matt described buying chao islands. This shop could also work like the sonic generations shop where after you beat the game you are able to buy different upgrades and new abilities. For example you could be able to buy the drop dash and boost for sonic. Abilities that weren’t originally in the game but after you beat the game would be new tools to add to your disposal, for the right price that is. These abilities would also be shared between both games but you wouldn’t be able to use them until you beat the game. There could also be different cosmetics and abilities in different games. For example the boost could be in SA1 while the triple stomp from sonic frontiers could be in SA2. If they really wanted to cook then they could entirely port over the avatar system from sonic forces and let you create an avatar to play in the SA2 multiplayer mode and different stages throughout both games.

Very little to disagree with here, honestly, mostly just don't like quicktime events, and I'd keep Amy's hammer jump something you'd have to build momentum for, but I do agree her acceleration could be faster all the same. 1000% agree with your chao garden ideas.

I know they’ll just keep the modern voice actors in an adventure remake, but if they could just bring back one than I’d hope it would be Ryan Drummond to reprise his role as Sonic. I just have a hard time imagining Roger’s voice in these scenes.

Before your Part 2 video comes out. I'm curious on seeing if you look into watching the Sonic Adventure remake video by Ruby of Blue. It breaths a lot of fresh life into the game by fleshing out old ideas and coming up with new ones that make the game feel a lot more cohesive without shelving all of the other characters off as optional side content.

I think the Frontiers Super Sonic fights should now be the new norm for the SS fights. Because of this I think it would be cool to have your ideas for the boss fights but adding in the frontiers movement and general game feel. Maybe even have it to where chaos attacks you from a far and you either have to quick time or parry or something to smack it back into him. It could also he super cool to have one of the final battles where you loose the emeralds for a brief moment and have to normally attack

100% agree with what's said in this vid. I don't think there are really any hot takes here, but damn these some good cold takes. The Chao garden idea especially is genius as ambitious as it is. As for what I would add would be, in my opinion, the least ambitious additions that add the biggest impacts such as: The characters (especially Sonic) having coyote jumps, Knuckles being able to continue soaring after hitting a non-climbable wall like in SA2, and giving Amy more acceleration as already mentioned.

Chao Garden idea: rings collected from the levels can be used to upgrade chao gardens spaces 10 rings buys different audio tracks for BGM, 500 rings buys ornate flower beds, 1000 rings buys a chao hot tub, 2000 rings buys a trampoline... etc

I would build off of your Big idea, and instead of having you fish for random stuff, I think I would have you fish for Froggy! There are normally four big stages, so maybe in Knuckles Tails Amy and Gamma playthrough, in each Big is standing outside of the level that he normally has, and he asks you to help him find Froggy. And at the end of the game you can still fight Chaos with him on the Egg Carrier if you find him.

Great video, the only things I wished you touched on was Multiplayer and Mission Mode. MM quality varies a lot in DX so I would replace the missions with ones of a higher quality (less fetch quests and scavenger hunts, more timed platforming/combat/chao/fishing challenges) and instead of only Sonic getting a skin, every character should get at least 1. As for multiplayer, they should use the same format as SA2 but with SA1 levels. Multiplayer should also be able to be accessed from the collection menu, separate from the individual games like the Chao Garden. Final thing is that I would love them to give this "Reimaging" treatment to a third game too; to make the collection a trilogy pack, and since Sonic 06 is the closest to the adventure games in gameplay, it should be the one they go with.

I think Big the cats gameplay could be altered and stay main story but actually make him playable in levels with move set similar to heroes where he searches for froggy found at the goal but also the frontiers fishing in hun worlds sounds great too

I think doing remakes in terms of the story they can throw in foreshadowing of SA2 in SA1 like Gerald having visited snhel island and maybe the presence of G.U.N and maybe how they recognize Chaos to look similar to the artificial chaos on the ark and what not

In terms of voice acting, they could potentially bring back “most” of the original voice cast, Cory Bringus not withstanding. As far as Dean Bristoh however, due to him having passed away in 2005, they may have to have Mike Pollock voice Dr. Eggman instead.

On top of what you said for the fishing mini game they could take the sonic origins route where the tokens could be used to buy music for a juke box (more music than just SA1/2), concept art, and maybe windy valley beta version lmao, but having this as like a sonic 3D origins would be cool, but without all of the time crunch of origins (since u say you would put these 2 game in one package)

Personally i think for the sonic model they should use the grind shoe sonic skin from sonic speed simulator, the model is pretty clean and it has good animations (idle run jump ect) but he has the soapshoes so idk if ot would work

Obviously when considering a sonic adventure remake, I would want sonic team to keep the formula the same as the original, but I kinda think it would be cool if they remade it with the boost formula, kinda like speed highway in sonic generations. It would definitely piss off some fans, but i still think it would be cool

I love your pitch of a Sonic Adventure remake and I would change a few things but I can put most of those thing behind, but I have one BIG issue the way you unlock super sonic I understand why you would want to make it really hard to unlock super sonic by getting a S rank in every stage but he is not a cheat code despite him being invincible he can still die or turn back into normal Sonic by getting crushed, drowned, or losing all his rings so if your not good with Super Sonic your not going to be able to play him as much anyway and the fact that your want this to be like Crash Bandicoot is CRAZY. I think your should get Super Sonic by getting the true ending not true ending+. I might change my opinion once I play the Sonic Adventure games for myself but I haven't but I have played the Classic Sonic Games and Crash Bandicoot remakes and Crash Bandicoot 4. That's the only massive problem I have with your video so keep making great videos and your one of my favorite SonicTubers.

The only thing I would change is the have Ian Flynn write new dialogue for the story (mostly the dialogue in SA1 aged like milk,) have Roger Craig Smith as Sonic, Collen O'Shaughnessey as Tails, Dave Mitchel as Knuckles, Cindy Robinson as Amy, Kyle Hebert as Big and Mike Pollock as Dr. Eggman and new actors to voice SA1 exclusive characters, Johnny Young Bosch as E-102 Gamma, Charles Martinet (yes Mario and Luigi himself) as Pachacamac and Monica Rial as Tikal, if you 100% Sonic Adventure 1 remake, get all the items and win every Chao Race a cliffhanger teasing Sonic Adventure 2 remake by showing Shadow like how Sonic Movie 2 teased him.

If they do remake adventure, gammas story will make everyone cry, they have animations and things to improve especially when he realizes the bird photo and turns around then blows up. Gamma vs beta is one of the best bosses in the franchise for me, story wise, atmosphere, music and mechanics, I like a shoot out with your brother who wants revenge from the very beginning of his story to prove himself better. The way the camera zooms out when beta shoots at you, or betas attacks have auras and explosions on the eggcarrier deck. So a remake making his boss look better would be so amazing.

I know people arent gonna like what i say, but ill say it anyway. Coming from a long time Sonic fan, I like the more modern Sonic gameplay. I like that they removed the speed panels and spin dash and used a boost mechanic instead. I loved the Adventure and Adventure 2 levels they did in Sonic Generations. So i think with some tweeks, it could work for a remake. I love the ideas you have for the other characters too!

Here’s an idea, remember how Cream the Rabbit had a cameo in the DX version well what if she replaced Big the Cat and got her own levels, maybe she could run in to characters like Rouge connecting the bridge between adventure 1 and 2 even more
