Do you have problems memorizing vocabulary? What strategies do you use to learn & remember new words?
@ChinarKazakhstan23 сағат бұрын
Mainly, I remember new words from my favorite series and movies the best. When I hear the word from any native speaker, I will probably never forget that. So, to just learn new words, I try to watch movies or interviews of some celebrities or teachers to memorize what I learned. ♥️ I like your strategies as well 💯😉

Oh, I have one more strategy to learn and remember new words. I'll be glad if that helps others too. To learn the language in general, I read books, and I read a lot. While reading, I don't try to remember the words or constructions there, I just read the text automatically. And then, just like you said, Dear Teacher ♥️, I memorize any word from the book I read when I see or hear them another time. So, instead of trying to memorize the words, I just read or write them down automatically so that it'd be easier to memorize them some other time.

I used to note it down on my book and make sentences with them and dedicates 15 mins daily for revision.

Learning is taking long time for me, l have to "meet" with interesting new words many times in different ways to find them familiar and start to using if it's really neccesery, because there are some words which isn't so important or exist easier word for talk about that topic on my actual language level. Thanks for your helpful great advices!

"Hi, your accent is as lovely as you are. I wish you all the best. May I ask, are you originally Canadian? What led me to this question is that your accent is easy to understand compared to other KZbin teachers."

Good points. I also find that the best way to improve your vocabulary, and learn how to use new words appropriately, is by not only practicing conversation and taking notes, but also by making it a habit to allocate some time daily to read and listen to a podcast in the foreign language. Practice is key.

Hello Michael, learning vocab as well as grammar or pronunciation is a hard process because I've learnt our brain needs context in order to remember important things that's why i could not learn poems by heart when I was at school 😊. Your said "points of contacts" I call it "delayed repetition" ans I usually do it with all, grammar, pronunciation and vocab. Yes, ir happens to me too especially with vocab to learn a word or expression and even though I know I know that bit sometimes it doesn't come to my mind. It can happen with grammar too, have you got any tip on how to recall grammar when we are speaking....just more practice with speaking? Thank you.🙏 I know I have those grammar points in my mind but...in the speed of talking sometimes I have to stop for a bit. Cheers! 😊👋
