It’s a lot like getting into the bathtub when you’re too drunk to stand up

I found that putting your one leg over first to balance yourself then getting up is easier for me and everyone I help.

I'm going to try this way. I'm new to surfski and was practicing remounts today but I was trying to swing my leg over
@OscarChalupskySurfski Жыл бұрын
Much easier just to put your bum in first

I’ve always found swinging your back leg over like you’re climbing onto a paddleboard then straddling like you’re sitting on a surfboard gets you up faster and allows you to balance more easily in rough surf because your legs are dangling in the water until you’re ready to take a couple of strokes again.

Looks like good core and arm strength required. Is weight room in addition to much paddling required?

Yes it a whole body exercise

If you rotate the ski a bit so it is a bit tilted to you, it can be used as a lever to aid you in coming up. Kinda of like being scooped from the water with the ski. Useful if you are tired.
