Hey JD. You made it look too easy.😉 A good screw extractor set should be in every mechanic's toolbox. While you're at it, I'd recommend picking up a standard and metric tap and die set too, if you don't already have them. After removing the old bolts or studs, I usually chase the threads and clean everything up before installing the new hardware. Good job, bud.👌 Glad everything worked out for you. It’s much easier to just weld a nut on the broken stud and turn it out. Never had it not work yet. If you slip with that drill your screwed.

Welding a nut does not work on plugs that are in your exhaust manifold smog pump holes when they’ve been in there for 20 yrs.

Left handed drill bits will take it out without having to use the ease out about half of the time.

Do u have advice for having an alternator stuck on top of ac compressor? Can’t move into place to put the bolts in the rightful place. So it’s just stuck slanted idk why it’s stuck on something that’s on top of ax compressor. Is it better to remove the ax compressor or to try something else? Thank you

It's easy when the engine is on a stand, in a well lit shop with everything you need at hand. Try it in the driveway with the engine in the truck, battery powered drill. The head bolts have an insert made of steel harder than my ex wife's heart. If the bolt is broken in the insert good luck. Lets try it real world!!
