Thank you for filming down inside the front grille area, I watched it a half dozen times on slow mo, cause I couldn’t remember how it all goes back together after years sitting apart. See, you never know how your videos can help others.

Thanks! I'm excited to be a part of something this cool! And about that name, it's always been a dream of mine to have a "shop" or at least an area where I could do this stuff out of the weather. This past summer my mom's alternator went out on her 3006 Volvo S60 and I was out there on that slab when it was 106°F with the sun beatin down on mah head! What I would have given to have a shop where it was 106°F in the shade, HAHA!

Thanks Jerry! Very nice of you to say so. I hope it helps!! Supposed to be beautiful weather this weekend here so I'm hoping I can get some more footage as I progress through the El Camino. She's in such bad shape but I'm not gonna let her convince me that the boneyard is a better option!

Right? I'm torn about a 6.0 litre LS conversion I have or keeping the '69 all original... The ol' 230 straight six runs so rich it'll make your eyes bleed LOL, but out of all three old Chevy's I have, this one starts up every single time.

I sure will! It got cold here today, it's in the 30's, and isn't supposed to warm up until later this week so I'll try to get something uploaded. This thing is so full of rust I've got a ton of work ahead of me. I watched your video and that Chevelle is a real nice car! And I'm closing in on 49 and can't remember what I did yesterday much less where a bolt goes. Good that I'll be able to go back and watch my own channel one of these days if I can't remember where something came from, LOL. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the video. No offense, but I think you should use that El Camino for a donor car. Don't think it's cost effective to fix all the issues you can see on your video.

Hey Jack, thanks for watching! None taken at all. LOL I'll probably build it back but not to the degree of restoration that I had originally planned. Thanks for watchin!

Thanks for the video, I am trying to fix my 69 lower fender how do you access the nuts behind the fender inside the pillar? The bolts just spin around my Chevelle is different then your El Camino but curious how you got those off. Thanks
@512kjt8 жыл бұрын
+Marc Stalmer | Sorry for the late reply. I didn't have that problem. If you're talking about the ones at the top of the fender I would suggest trying to grind the head off of the bolt to get the fender off and then drilling out that bolt. The nuts are actually welded onto the inside of the door pillar and if it's spinning it means that the weld has come loose and that nut is just spinning back there. Almost impossible to get up in there without removing the dash. I can email you some pics of my car and the pillars if you think it would help.

+Marc Stalmer | I have a video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYitn6Gmf7aoeqM&lc=z13gy1ibulihffss323ghtcorsmas54g104 and if you go to 9:11 you can see the passenger side from the inside of the car and the light coming through the hole where the upper blind nut is for the top fender bolt.

Your bolt sizes are 3/8" and 5/16" - you gave wrench sizes. Man, you've got alot of steel to replace - that's what snow country does to a ride. If you don't do a frame off...
