Thank you for the very clear instructions and demo. One can save themselves a bit on trouble by removing the deck when parked on a hard, smooth surface. Doing this on the grass is a back breaker, especially when putting the deck back on.

'95 Broadmoor. Still humming along! I'm fortunate enough to have the turbo grass clipper on it My lever to lower the deck is on the right front panel. I don't have an electric switch. I do screw down the mower deck. Everything else looks familiar. Good information! Good video!

Nice video! I have a 2018 "Regent" model Simplicity lawn tractor and by looking at the owners manual, it's the same procedure as the Broadmoor. Nice to see the video though before I tackle this and get some new blades on. Thanks again!

Removed my deck ONE time (new Broadmoor 48 inch deck) Really fought getting the belt removal lever to allow enough slack to re-install the belt. The front hitch was pretty easy to remove AFTER I accidentally lifted up on the deck while hooking the hitch! I had such a wonderful time, I ordered a Cat Mower Jack the very next week!

If you want to do it out in the yard, you could put a sheet of plywood down to lower the deck on. It will be easier to slide it out and back in again ~

💥Really great video and info but OH MAN…. was I hoping that mine was like this one. Mine is a 1989 or earlier and is slightly different. It mounts to the front with nuts and bolts and doesn’t have that quick release and I have some bars with Cotter pins that attach somewhere that I can’t figure out. Also no electrical wire. Im trying to mount my deck and took it off over 15 years ago and have no idea how to put it back on. The mower itself has never sat outside and looks like it’s 1 year old. Model 5212.5

The deck is much easier to maneuver on a hard surface. (I have a similar mower.) My question: You and I appear to the same deck ~ 48”, with 3 - 16 1/4” blades, and I need to replace my belts, but the label in the engine cowl (left side) doesn’t show a 48” deck. It offers data on 38, 40, 46, 50 and 56. And of course they’re all Simplicity part numbers. Did you have this problem? or if you’ve changed belts, what size is correct? I did learn from your wife to drop the drive belt from the PTO first. Probably what I’ve done by trial and error, but she verbalized it. Thanks

sad, stop at Harbor freight, pick up three triangle caster sets, stop on a flat concrete, put the caster under each end of the roller and the front of the deck, move the deck height to mid level. the deck rolls out with ease.
