I don’t understand menstrual cups. I’ve been using the salt one for awhile now. They’re so fu****g messy. I have to insert my fingers (which are now bloody) to squeeze and take out the cup. And it also leaks when I stand up to get out of bed in the morning. And no it’s not full when I empty it. AND I can feel the POP of when the seal opens all the way. I HATE it. I feel like I’m being gaslit into believing it’s better than more hygienic, less messy, tampons. I know toxic shock is a thing but honestly I’d take that risk over having blood on my hands and not being able to empty in a public setting. I’m so frustrated because I keep seeing these positive reviews. Like am I the only one?..

It's more pain while removing compared to inserting for me. Same for everyone?
@saaltco Жыл бұрын
We're sorry to hear that! When you remove your cup, you'll want to fold it back into a smaller shape, such as folding it into a C. You’ll want to remove your cup at a horizontal angle, just like you did for insertion. Similar to insertion, if you insert your cup straight up like a tampon, it won't be very comfortable, and if you remove your cup by pulling it straight out, it won't feel great! This is why we encourage you to do everything at a horizontal angle.

@@saaltco but then it'll spill right? Wanted to avoid the mess. I only cud hold the last bottom. And while dragging down the cup gets into suction and then I try to get it out. It hurt a lot and each time the removal is traumatising!!

@@iloveme2398 While it can be a bit messy at first, many folks get the hang of things after a bit of practice. The key is to break the seal. If it's too difficult to reach your cup, you may consider sizing up to the regular! :)

@@saaltco yeah. I didn't get the sizing up to regular? To a smaller or a bigger?

On a serious note, what if you can’t reach the bottom of the cup without pulling on it?

slowly and carful wiggle/pull on it then once you get it hard enough that you can grab onto the base of the cup

I started using my salt cup two days ago and I continue to have leaks. I feel like the seal is opened. I have size small. Should I try the regular size?

How can people use two fingers I can’t and I’ve tried so many times it really hurts so I just walk my finger all the was up and press on the side, please tell me why I can’t use two fingers

I pull the string after the string is out i simply break suction and come it out

We don't recommend pulling on the stem; it wasn't designed to be pulled on. It exists to walk your fingers up to the base of the cup where you pinch the grip rings. 👍🏼
@charlenemusngi51582 ай бұрын
@saaltco I think an upgrade should be made so that the stem is strong enough to pull, it is more user friendly that way. Most women are naturally going for their cup that way especially for beginners and for those who are switching from tampon.

We recommend removing your cup while sitting on the toilet or in the shower to avoid messes!

so I tried tampons and the pain of inserting it was enough to never want to use one again (didn’t hurt to wear or take out) and it’s because my vaginas opening is small. Will this cup be painful to insert like the tampon with my small opening?
@saaltcustomerguru2311 ай бұрын
If you have had pain inserting tampons you may also have difficulties with inserting a cup cup. We recommend a water-based lubricant and taking your time. We are here to help but you know your body best!

The Saalt Cup sits in the vaginal canal and should not touch the urethra.🙂

I am sorry if your product is too flimsy it is to flimsy. Not the customers fault.
@lisareeg Жыл бұрын
It's not about the cup being flimsy or not, anything used incorrectly over a long amount of time will shorten the product life span, and removing it by pulling to rod is an example of incorrect use, not only because it could damage the cup but also because it will cause mild to extreme discomfort to the user since the seal can't be broken that way

@@lisareeg yes absolutely! and as someone who uses this cup, I cut my stem off completely- it is NOT necessary for removal
