How to remove a radio from a Vauxhall Vectra, Astra, Corsa etc 1.9 ctdi 2007

Hi, thanks for the info on removing the stereo. If I want to replace it with an aftermarket type one from halfords do I need a loom converter or something or should it be a straight swap ?

You own a drying rack? Those have the metal wires you can take out. Take 1 out, cut into 4 pieces and shove them in the 4 holes as deep as you can, next use a credit card to open the edges a bit and shove a tea spoon in 2 upper edges and pull the radio ever so slowly towards yourself. The edges on the lower side will open a bit where you can shove teaspoons to help pull the radio out. I've done it yesterday. Don't be afraid that the metalwires will be stuck on the inside as they won't. If you push them too far they will just fall in.
