Thanks. Changed damaged radio easily. But after, got a message saying “check the hybrid system. Stop the vehicle in a safe place”. What do I need to do to clear this message?

Do you have any idea which of the connections that you have to make for the navigation system are responsible for backlighting the buttons on the system? Mine have never lit up in my 2010 Prius since I got it in 2015. I don't drive much at night so it hasn't been a big deal, but I am giving the car to my son and I would like to get them working. I wonder if this also has something to do with the screen being stuck in "Day Mode" even after reading and trying all the fixes I've found on line.

Good video. I have a damaged 2010 Prius radio/navigation system. This unit has a touch screen that tilts forward to allow access to CD chanter. In my case, an air freshener leaked over the buttons on the right side and now some are now stuck. Part of the right hand trim is also visibly discolored. I'm about to start looking for an after market system since the Toyota parts is close to $4,000! I would be interested if you might know where to repair. The unit works except for the buttons, so I'm thinking all it needs is cleaning. Or, how much might a replacement cost. Thanks.
