Worked for me! I didn’t have any extra large washers so I used a short 7/8 socked as my stack of washers and it worked like a charm.

So, I tried your method last night. Thought it was going well until the shaft snapped right off leaving about a quarter inch stub. That unloader acts like it was welded in there. No movement at all! So, I’m looking at a new pump. BUT, there are virtually no China knock off four bolt, vertical mount pumps. The OEMs are $250 to almost $400! So… I’m looking at new pressure washers! Hope to be able to sell my old unit, minus the pump. The engine is in great shape.

Have you ever renoved the plastic or aluminum valve seat that the unloader valve voes up against before the ball? The plastic ones warped so the upgradesd i just can't find out how to change it. Mine had plastic and pretty stuck in there...

That is an excellent question, and I didn't give it much thought at the time. But what you could do is keep track of number of turns when removing the larger nut. Then simply tighten the same number of turns when reassembling.

@@PetesProjects0 too late for me I aleady messed that up because I had a really hard time to take this whole thing out. I removed both screws and the spring , and after I managed to take this out and cleaned it now is time to put this back but what is the proper screw position well I guess I have to figure this out, but first I have to finish my cold beer 😁😁 and I didn't had that big washers so I used an 18mm socket instead of washers and it worked like a charm. But my valve has no water stone deposit it's clean so idk what is causing this low pressure maybe it just need a proper screw position.
