We recently landed a large tree removal job at the local University of Arizona. We removed about 30 trees in total ranging from palm trees, to mesquites, to acacias, etc.. This video shows the removal of one of the more dangerous palm trees on site. It was about 50' tall.
It was a very tight area, tucked between buildings & walkways, so we had to rig out the trees, old school style.
In this video I'm using 150' Simpson 16 strand climbing rope, 150' Simpson 5/8 rig rope, Buckingham saddle & spurs, a steel-core lanyard, Silky handsaw, Stihl MS-201T chainsaw, CMI 3/4 rig block, a port-a-wrap & other various tools / equipment.
All in all, the job went smooth. We removed the tree as planned, with no damages or injuries.
Thanks for watching! Climb Safe!
