Proper way to remove the tank. After depressurizing the lines, left underside of tank is a quick disconnect for fuel line, then disconnect the breather tube right next to the bolts that hold the tank. Disconnect wiring harness, pull the tank. No cutting required.

Thanks for this video, very helpful. Do you have one on how to remove spark plugs on Challenger

Thanks for the very instructional video. The tanks removal is very similar to the Victory Cross bike tanks. A HUGE improvement in the location of the fuel line disconnect. It was under the take at the rear on the Victory. If you allowed the fuel line to rotate too far left or right it would snap off the fuel pump nipple. Very easy to do with a hefty price tag.

I reinstalled the tank, and maybe I didn’t notice this before, but is the tank supposed to have wiggle room up front? Seems odd? Thank you so much for all your videos! I was able to get my bars done today thanks to you!

Thanks for your video. The 2022 is slightly different. Disconnect the electrical connection on top of tank, not the harness, Remove the fuel line off the throttle body and vent hose connnection at the base of the tank. The hoses stay attached to the tank when you remove it.

This video shows a way to remove the tank but not the way the service manual shows. There is a quick disconnect and on the left side of the tank behind the V-cover, for the fuel line. Then at the rear of the tank another quick disconnect for the fuel pump electrical and an inline disconnect for the fuel tank vent line. There is no need to remove the tank's chromed access cover or clip the zip ties. The service manual cautions to depressurize the fuel line beforehand and prepare to catch any fuel that may drip out.

I just bought a 22 Pursuit a couple of months ago and have found that KST made a custom 4" pullback bar, with the same dimensions as the standard bar, for DMV Solorider. I saw his post last night and called to have one made for me and I should have it in a couple of weeks. Now to my question. I've watched the video on changing the bars several times, knowing that I was going to change mine. The video was very informative and complete. The only problem I'm having is finding a torque wrench that goes down to 8 in/pd. If you could tell me what brand you used in the video it would be greatly appreciated. I looked through your tools and and only saw 3/8" and 1/2" torque wrenches. Keep up the great work.

I use my in/lb Wheeler torque screwdriver that I use on my guns. I think it goes from 5 to 80 in/lbs

Good video. What a pain in the ass to change an air filter though
@darylcopp90134 жыл бұрын
Looks like a $300 air filter service at the dealership or a half afternoon at home. I can see a lot of swearing once that side plastic gets a few years on it and gets a little brittle. Would be interested in how much a dealer would charge for a full oil and filter change on one of these.

Good point. It’s not that expensive, but it’s a great argument to invest in the Indian stage I air intake. It reroutes air cleaner to right side, like HD’s, $157.50 install from Indian dealer, easy job yourself if you wrench

The side cover is not hard to remove as he points out, just pull from the correct location. Like most things, don't just grab and jerk, don't use brute force expecting a good outcome. In this case, he admits he made an assumption that a different manufacturer's product was built the same way as a HD. He didn't complain about it but instead pointed it out so others could learn from his mistake. I do have a question about your concern over the side plastic getting brittle. I'm not familiar with the HD side piece, is it not plastic? If it is, then wouldn't it get brittle also after a few years?
@darylcopp90133 жыл бұрын
@@wattdurden7821 The HD uses a different type of plastic. The plastic is much more pliable. The plastic shown in this video seems to be a much harder and is already brittle. I just pulled the side plastic off my HD Touring bike a couple days ago while changing tires. I just grabbed the plastic and pulled it off. It appears you have to take much more care on this Indian or one laps of judgement and you will be heading to the dealer for new plastic.
