I had to change out the drivers side lower door hinge. Some one opened the door too far and bent the hinge and popped out the spring.i jumped into dark waters and watched a KZbin video and decided to tackle this project. A trip to the local pick and pull yard produced the needed hinge. You are absolutely right about buying the spring compressor it is a life saver. Well worth the $10 at Advanced Auto parts store. Good video.

Getting ready to do the door hinge pins and rollers and springs on my 95 suburban. Mine is currently missing the springs. Is it easy to tell where they hook on when I go to replace them. I think I see where they go but not 100%

There are several good KZbin videos that show the entire process, I suggest you buy the spring compresser it really makes a tricky job easy.

Thanks for the video. Have to do this on an Olds Cutlass Ciera RF door, to install a new roller.

Foot note to this GM door spring tool on eBay. Just did a search for the part # with the mfg. No such part from this mfg but there's a big selection of others that should be compatible.
