Or in the lungs of the breather. I honestly hope you never see someone with an asbestos-related disease (it is horrible). Admittedly, the odds are very low for those with limited exposure. However, there are many places in North America where it is the number one killer of workers. You are a professional. You should know better. Encouraging others to be careless is both wrong and irresponsible.

Hi there, I’m a current Asbestos Surveyor in the UK, I really mean this as a wee bit of education and hope that it helps. Please do not just hold your breath when dealing with these materials. Especially when carrying out any removal work. Respirators and PPE are a must. It’s wreckless and dangerous to be advising or showing people to do it this way. Please in future use RPE and PPE or best case use an approved licensed contractor or professional to remove these items. You’re only endangering yourself and any residents of the property you’re working in using this method. All the best.

@@andrewhind2152 Thank you for chiming in. I’m not able to pay a guy $25,000 to tarp over my house and put the project on hold for weeks or months or get the property condemned by whoever. That is why I do it this way and other ways according to the situation at hand. I work on my own properties and most people don’t even know what asbestos materials look like, so this is an awareness video that as I mentioned can be dangerous. Have a great one!

Your right, it’s much safer gone and if they gave me gear they wouldn’t be able to charge $20,000 to remove it anymore and do the same thing I did anyway, with a space suit on. It’s mostly dangerous if you cut it with a saw and make lots of dust in a tight space or something and just stay in there all day or do insulation clean out or blow in back in the day before they knew it was bad to eat it lol It is dangerous but come on lol this here is a lunch break project with a clean breath hold before a 10 second tare out. I’ll save the $20,000 If I can make the world a safer place for $0. Thanks for reaching out!

Lol actually Sir, you would hold your breath before you break it. Or use an empty milk jug to breath in. That works great also. But anyway hold your breath first Sir, then go in and break it while holding your breath still. Then once it’s broken loose, you can leave quickly before exhaling 😮‍💨 then go back in the room on a new breath and remove the pipe with some gloves on. Then you surely will not die, unless you scare yourself into a panic attack thinking about a short life or something.. anyway I’ll be done by then you can call the experts
