How to remove broken shifter on a volvo Xc90 (no edit) part1

shifter broke on 2007 volvo xc90 and I replaced the whole assembly,
it is not that difficult as it might seem, took me about 25 minutes

When this happens it's usually the rocker arm that's broken so the stick wobbles around. You don't need to remove the entire thing to change the rocker arm.

what red head with a wire do? do it somehow connected with a ignition key? it's near white button you used to reset the lock. Mine car stuck in Parking, but solinoid and breaking pedal works. so I think problem might be with that red head
