I had similar idea but mine was different i was going to modify a air mattress pump the big pump the one you plug in i was going to attach a small hose to the long hose it comes with and power it with a power station and blow the holes i did it was hard to make it run for all holes since my power station got low battery before i finished so i looked some other alternatives and found your video i thought of using a tire pump but i was not certain until i saw your video thanks for the tip now days is hard to get access to a air compressor either too expensive to get and not worth using for small task like this
@LandonsBuildz10 ай бұрын
A solid air compressor is always good to have. A decent one should only run you around 150. Don’t get a tiny one that can’t do anything

That was smart! If i take the spark plugs out and do it in an empty whole is that safe to do or can it damage anything?
@martinsmoto Жыл бұрын
You can definitely do it without hurting anything. I should have too. Lol 😆
@TireSlayer55 Жыл бұрын
why would you do that? the whole point is to remove all the dirt BEFORE you remove the spark plugs so it doesn't get inside the cylinders.
@sjames569421 күн бұрын
My GOD how great that worked...but I could'nt help but keep asking-myself HOW in the hell did THAT. MUCH. DIRT. get down inside the spark-plug wells of whatever kind of vehicle that was, in your video ? ? ?

@@martinsmoto BTW: What tools to use to remove spark plug coz I have a 2007 Ford Taurus. And do you need to remove the battery terminals of the car?
@niflag2 жыл бұрын
Make sure you put a glove or something in the wells you've already cleaned so youre not just blowing the dirt back down into them.

Better yet, just change one plug at a time.
@poopsicle16296 ай бұрын
What if it’s really stuck to it?
@martinsmotoАй бұрын
@poopsicle1629 if so, that means the dirt won't fall in the cylinder so you should be good either way. When I had that issue though I took a long but thin flat head screwdriver and scraped it off, then blew it out. Hope this helps in the future!

Get a long screwdriver and wrap tape around it so the sticky side is on the outside of the screwdriver and stick it in the block. That way the dirt would stick to it. You'll have to do it a few times. Other than that, you can get a flat head screwdriver and loosen the dirt, then get a wet vac and suck the dirt out. That's all I can think of
@TireSlayer55 Жыл бұрын
aerosol carb cleaner and a stronger compressed air source
@aelfwealld9 ай бұрын
Wouldn’t this just blow the dirt into the cylinder head? I’m going to make a custom vacuum hose for mine and suck the dirt rather than blow it around or into the engine.
@martinsmotoАй бұрын
@aelfwealld you suppose to take one coil off, blow the dirt out the cylinder while the spark plug is still in the block. Once it's clear, change the spark plug and put the coil back. Once all are done everything would be clean. Then you can also just blow around the entire engine for peace of mind. Hope this helps.
