Needed to figure out how to replace the vent window seals on my 1951. At least now I know I need to get the vent window removed from the truck first. I should be able to figure out the rest from there, thanks. BTW, these old trucks are 100% SAE (American Standard) so that would be a 1/2 inch, not a 13mm, though they're practically the same. Also, original screws should be clutch head screws, not square head. Thanks for making the video.

Thank you so much!! I would have never figured that division bar was so long and there is a nut on the bottom. Should be pretty easy to get it out. And hopefully, it will go back in easy! :)

Did mine on the truck what I needed to know about was that bolt at the bottom of the wing window frame it was easy to remove the glass moving it to the outside of the door

Well that bolt of the window vent is the one I needed to know about I did mine on the truck and the window was easily removed take the glass to the outside of the door instead of trying to work it to the inside of the door

It's a long story, so I'll cut to the question. I've a Dynacorn reproduction door and cab attempting to install original 51 parts . Are all the attachment points for the vent window to frame welded tabs or some type of spring clips. My original cab destroyed in a fire, hauled off , I have no references to check. Thanks

Scott E McGlon how? Do I put the vent window in and keep it loose? Because with the vent window assembly in you have to put the glass in the window felt on both sides

I got the glass in, but I can't get it to slide up in the track. One, I think the glass is too wide. And two, the window felt itself I think is too tight. I can't even pull the door glass up in the track

Scott E McGlon yeah, I have no play at all. It's a 3100 with vent windows. And I purchase the glass from autocity classic. I didn't have any issues with the vent windows, back window, or the front windshield. Just the door glass

Scott E McGlon are you saying that the 1951 Chevy 3100 had three different size glasses in it? Three different size for the vent window doors, had three different glass sizes?
