Thank you! I needed to see how the door lock assembly was removed. I was afraid I was going to break it. The white plastic weather barrier has come loose inside both rear doors allowing rain to flood the rear floor board.🙂👍

Used this video to help install my new window weather strip (inner) on my 2010 Honda Civic Lx. I bought thr new piece from Honda but was procrastinating on installing and tried once before. The part with the clip wires originally & the black top got me stuck. I used a screwdriver to *push out the clips as I pulled them out, and it helped. The black top, I was able to get raised like in the video but when I went to pull it out a piece broke off and the main screw stayed in place. I accidentally cracked the edge a little but it ended up coming out😭. It still went back into place in the very end. Overall for a super amateur, I was able to do it by myself with another person help at the end to remove the door panel. Thank you!

Good video! You may want to use plastic pry tools on the bottom of door panel as a screw driver may scratch the paint. But very good and you don't use too many words which makes it very easy to follow! Great job!!

So I dropped a parking card into to window. Came here to learn how to open to see inside the door. I did watch like three more videos just to be safe. Long story short, it’s super easy. You just need a flat screwdriver, and a Phillips screwdriver. For the back doors, there will be an extra Phillips screw to undo by the center of the door, and there will only be one cable block connected to the window controller. I probably saved myself $30 and learned something new.

After removing the door panel how could i keep a slim jim from easy accessing its way in. Someone has pulled apart my door and has tried to gain access multiple times. i have scraped paint and torn up weather stripping. It is a matter of time before some punk gets the hang of the slim jim and vandalizes my civic. thank you

For those who dont understand. Take the control unit off then take the screw out. Under the door handle,take that screw off then you should be able to pop the door off

Don't miss this one which was shown in the video. Also A black plug needed to be removed under the handle. If someone doesn't understand, one should repeat watching the video maybe a couple of times more. This video is pretty straight forward. Thanks for your comment!

The best way to find out the part's name is to visit your local Honda dealer's part department. They will be able to provide the part's #, part's name and part's cost in detail.

+tgmac8288 Yeah its a 2007, when i put the panel back on the first time the lock on the door handle didnt work. So I took it off again and I couldn't figure out how the cable goes into the white clamp you took off with the flat head. So eventually I gave up but I havent been able to put the panel back on, the plastic pegs are so close to their respective holes but they wont go in :( Sorry if this isnt enough info

+Andy Grind If you look at the video again, that was a black locking clip to be removed before the panel could be totally detached. When one try to put the panel back again, the procedures have to be reversed. First thing to do is to make sure the cable will be locked by the black locking clip properly of which allows the handle to work properly. Then have the white plastic clamp to hold the cable in place. The last is to have the white plastic bracket locked by black metal frame. The critical part is the black locking clip. Watch the video again and try. Hope this help!

+Andy Grind You didn't have to disconnect those cables, just pop the handle off from the panel with the cables attached. Since you already have them off though just pop that handle off the panel and connect the cables then pop the handle back on to the panel. It will be a lot easier to do it that way.
