Thank you so much for this video! I simply had to take off panel to tighten two bolts because my window was popping on the passenger side when I’d roll it up. You explained everything very well and made it so much easier!

Do you have a video of you painting the trim and what paint color information did you use and purchase at? Love color
@NitroZ18Fishing2 жыл бұрын
Hey Marc!… I didn’t do a video of the actual painting just because there’s already a ton of videos out there on how to paint trim, I’m sorry!…I can’t remember the exact color but it’s just a matte black, I know they make a specific paint for trim that seems to stick very well!

Love what you did but most can’t do that!! Or would dare try I’m having the silver door trim done on my tundra but they make stuff you can put on without removing the trim piece. Colored or carbon fiber! But the the door handles that’s a different story! But love your videos man!

thanks man!...much appreciated!...it honestly wasn't all that hard, the first time can be a little intimidating but once ya see it done it's pretty straight forward!...thanks for the feedback!

I'm getting there with my 2017 too. I'm looking into changing out the silver panel that surrounds the stereo...I believe Toyota has a black replacement... Thanks Great Video.
@NitroZ18Fishing4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback!...yes sir, they offer a black replacement piece for around the stereo...you can also remove that and paint it if you would like!...I do have a video up on the channel showing how to disassemble entire dash for customizing, it’s honestly not hard at all!

Nice boat! I have a bad rattle and it sounds like it’s coming from the trim sitting in the window control switches. It’s somewhat loose as well. Not sure if it’s an item under warranty. Any info you may have would be helpful. Thanks.
@NitroZ18Fishing4 жыл бұрын
Thank you sir!!...hmm, if it’s what I’m picturing you should be able to remove that switch panel and see if anything is loose...the panel that the window switches sit in literally just pops right off to give you access underneath...without seeing your truck it’s hard to say, but I would start there and see if you notice anything out of whack...hope that helps, let me know how ya make out!

NitroZ18 Fishing I started to pop it out but stopped. I think you are right that something is loose. I worry if I pull it out that I’ll bust one of the tabs and end up having to buy a replacement. Do you fish professionally and sponsored by Realtree? Not from California I assume.
@NitroZ18Fishing4 жыл бұрын
yea that panel can be a pain to get out, those tabs really hold!!...and no professional fishing for me, believe it or not I don't do tournaments...I just support companies that I use and believe in, and I'm on pro staff with some...having the channel helps get attention and offers, I'm very grateful for everything that has come my way since I started making videos...all you guys are awesome, I appreciate all the positive feedback and support!!

Any tips on removing the exterior handles? The front part of the handle has a wiring harness going to it with no much tension to pull it out.
@NitroZ18Fishing4 жыл бұрын
As much as I’ve torn this truck apart, that’s one thing I haven’t removed yet...I just taped mine off and painted them on the truck when I color matched my handles...maybe I’ll tear them apart next weekend just for fun and figure it out...hahaha...sorry I couldn’t be more help on that!
@thedukeofdiag86064 жыл бұрын
You do need to remove the door panel to access the connector that allows the handle to be fully removed.
@NitroZ18Fishing4 жыл бұрын
ok awesome, good to know!...glad you got them figured out!

@@thedukeofdiag8606 I'm guessing this only applies to the front doors for handle replacement? (I'm looking to replace mine)

What do you do for prep before you paint the pieces? I'd like to make my trim permanently black or gunmetal, but I'm not sure what steps you took to make the paint stick to plastic.
@NitroZ18Fishing2 жыл бұрын
Clean them really well with alcohol and spray them with adhesion promoter before priming/painting, that should the paint stick really well…hope that helps, thanks for watching!

You could also hit them with sandpaper to rough up the surface a little before doing the above, but I don’t think it’s necessarily needed
