Thanks for the video I realized this is too much work so I drilled the plates hole bigger still have a bolt I can tighten down and I will use automotive grade double stick tape if it has any issues. Right now it’s looking good.

Funny. Mine is also a Dodge Journey and the exact same thing happened. When trying to remove the plates they started to open the back panel and then saw it was useless so put it back, but now my lock button no longer works on the trunk. So clearly something got disconnected. Now have to find a video on that.

Hell yea man, just what I needed for my car. The bolts on mine got stuck so firm that even the drill bits that remove stuck bolts got untuck in the hole!

Yeah my extractor bolt broke inside the broken bolt what do I do? Just keep drilling it out? I’m sure the threads are unsavable now

I know this video is a bit old but if anyone could help that would be awesome, so we got this new car and we had to take the license plate off, both of the screws on the back license plate were super rusted and we tried our hardest trying to get in unstuck, eventually I said fuck it and got a vise grip to try to pull it out the hard way and ended up taking the entire top of the screws off leaving the threaded part of the screws in. Any suggestions

Pb buster on threads and either cut a new head onto it with a grinder or get a diamond tip drill and bore that bitch out

Couldn't take off my screws form the plate, I'm thinking about to cut the plate around the screws, need to find something that can cut metal

That's what we ended up doing on our 2011 Nissan Versa hatchback. Now I'm trying to find a way to attach the new plate to the vehicle. What did you do?

Not helpful at all. Mine are frozen and the screws are stripped.

So just rip open the back side of the wall where the nut/bolt holder is? LoL! The scary thing is that this is probably what the dealership will do to remove it. When you ask how they got it out the answer the answer will be, "we just soaked it with WD-40 for an hour and worked it out".
