Fabulous instructions The end of my lock cable broke causing me not to be able to open the drivers side door from the inside. Your lock actuator replacement instructions were invaluable. In my case I have an electronically controlled locks and as such there were some device/cable access differences. Nevertheless, i was able to successfully fix my problem with your detailed instructions. Thank you.

Just so everyone is aware, this procedure pretty much applies to the versus with the automatic locks. There are slight differences, mostly around wires that you have to disconnect but it's mostly the same

How do you get to the actuator if both handles aren't working and the window won't roll down due to collision with a deer . It hit the driver side and the door is jammed shut . Window won't roll down either . 2016 Nissan versa S.

My girlfriend bought a car and the driver side door doesn’t lock.. seems there is something jammed in the door lock mechanism Itself. I was wondering if it’s worth opening the mechanism and try to fix it. Any suggestions?

+murat Thanks for watching! It certainly wouldn't hurt to inspect the mechanism first to see what the problem is. Just be careful if you take it apart, as putting it back together might be difficult!
