I just had to do this myself, and I only had to remove the exhaust for the rear cylinder. It’s money well spent to have the bike shop mount the new tires. Luckily I have the Cobra slip on mufflers, so that made it easy.😎

Hell yeah! I could have utilized my air ride and sag the tire easy low but not everyone has it!! But wayy easy with the slips 🤘😎

Hey, I had a license plate located there and moved it back to stock. The question is, do I need to close the gap that the license holder left at the pinch bolt between the frame and the shaft drum?

You do not close the cap. Service manual requires 20ft lbs of torque

Excellent Question! So I wash with a diluted Simple Green Concentrate and water. Then polish her off with SC-1 "New Bike in a Can". I'v been washing my bikes for years with this Stuff its Fantastic I swear by it!!! ✌️ 😎 amzn.to/3wKD7u5 amzn.to/4bXEOmD

do you have to replace the crush washer when you took off the exhaust for something like this or just if youre replacing the exhaust?

For this nope! You'll be ok. Switching to new exhaust is really when its really necessary. If you can get around without pulling the exhaust is better. Its case by case depending on peoples exhaust layout ✌️
