Hi😃 Let's check out how to remove hot stamp on a Louis Vuitton luggage tag! We have a Lous Vuitton luggage tag in grey taiga leather and silver hardware. The luggage tag was hot stamped in 2016, and in this video we try out three different ways to remove hot stamp initials 😃

In this video we check out the Louis Vuitton Luggage Tag in grey taiga leather and silver hardware. This came with a previous purchase made from Fashionphile, the Louis Vuitton Taiga Mitka Suitcase from the Louis Vuitton 2010 mens collection. The suitcase is sold, but I did keep the Louis Vuitton luggage tag. In this video we try out three different ways to remove the Louis Vuitton hot stamp or foil at the front "SMB".

Love how your nails match the luggage tag! 🤩 Great idea to try different methods on the different initials. I found this very soothing to watch. The packing tape looked the most efficient method! Having new hotstamp added will hide the imprints and damage, great work hon! 👏🏼

That's nice..did you try acetone or nail polish remover? Maybe you can try to "flatten" the initials by ironing it a bit under a cotton cloth..

Yep I did try makeup remover, it worked out good 🤗 I will bring it to Lois Vuitton and they can add a new hot stamp 💕

Chanel Girl, did LV actually add a new hot stamp? I thought they wouldn't because it already has an imprint. I have a tag that i'm thinking of removing the foil but didn't think i could get it re-stamped.

When you say packaging tape do you mean cellotape? Tape for wrapping gifts?

Regular tape, wrapping gifts :)

Would any of these work on a patina handle? Like there’s a hot stamp on the patina leather on the front of the bag

I would only try the tape on patina and be veeery careful 😇 cause anything liquid will be a much higher risk of marks etc

wouldn’t it damage the leather? since make-up remover and lotion has oils? How did it go overtime?

Hey it did damage the leather so i would only use the tape option 😃
