Also I just had the brilliant idea of using Double-sided Foam Tape Dots! They're available on amazon for like 7 bucks an order and the strong adhesive lifts the foil right off... doesn't damage the leather :)

I actually bypassed a lot of work by lifting most of a hot stamp with Scotch tape. Then I rubbed some lotion into the remaining, wiped it off and lifted the rest of it off with more Scotch tape. Super easy!

+Everyday Glam Hey Katherine, that's why I wanted to do this video. So many of us miss out on great deals cuz items have initials, but now you don't. Just be careful when doing it. I think by me wiping with the damp cloth in between to show you guys, caused the two little knicks, cuz the canvas was damp. It didn't happen when I did the first letter A, before I got on camera. So don't wipe with the damp clothe until you are completely done. But like I said the knicks don't look bad at all and I would do this method again on any other item with initials. oh no, well when trying this method just be careful and go slow don't rush. Don't wipe with any damp cloth until you are completely finished. Only wipe with a dry cloth in between. Make sure you condition after....good luck. Let me know how it turns out. :)

+jellybean Hi and yes there is an imprint left on the item. Some imprints will be more noticeable than others. I don't know if LV will imprint over it or not. You could always get it imprinted in another area, that would probably be best. I didn't want my initials on this piece so I didn't take it to LV to find out. I’m going to try this, thank you. I have an Hermes Kelly I got at an amazing price because of the gold embossing. I’ve been looking for videos to remove without ruining it as even tho it was a great price it definitely wasn’t cheap. +Caramel S Multicolor items go for more than regular canvas. Even when they were available at the store, they were more than regular canvas. Actually this was a steal compared to what others are selling them for. I've seen them go as high as $400 to $500. So this was a great deal for a Multicolor piece and in excellent condition, not tarnishing of any of the gold and all the colors were intact no fading. Once the Multicolor line discontinued the prices of the items skyrocketed unfortunately.

With Magic Eraser it will be difficult to isolate just the foil you are trying to remove. So I don't know about that and I didn't get a lot of feedback from people on FB. Just the recommendation that I mentioned in this video.

I didn't purchase this from the LV store. LV does not resell anything that has been altered. I purchased this from a second hand seller.
