Thanks for the video explanation and I found your tips very helpful! I have a 2010 Sienna with two middle seats. I was able to remove the seats with the head set on by first sliding the seat toward the back as far as possible using the the lifting the front middle lever under the seat while pushing the seat back before tipping the seat forward.

I too struggled with this seats removal and re installation. Once removed I did a little study of the manual and the seat, specially the Red lever function. Found out that the Red Lever will ONLY FUNCTION IF THE SEAT IS SLIDE TO THE REAR-MOST LOCK POSITION. Anyone struggling try this, it'll work as a charm. Good luck.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! When i watched your last video on how to take out the seats I was BEYOND EXCITED!!! I had to transport my sons Eagle Project in my van and didn't know how to do it. Then when I went to put them back in this middle seat back hinges locked while I was trying to maneuver it in place and I couldn't get it unlocked. Soooo I wouldn't let anyone sit in that seat in fear they'd be having their milkshake and flip backwards when I took off like lightening entering the freeway! ha ha ha ha Your videos have saved my sanity, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Thanks! I had mine stuck in at an angle because the strap was stuck under one of the latches. But I pushed that metal pin and was good to go. You saved me a few hours of work!

thanks for the video. I was able to figure out how to make the red latch work. Since the seat can slide forward and backward, it needs to be slid all the way back for the latch to do its job. Those pins being accessible meant that it was to far forward.
