Glad to help....they do make a specific trim tool...but, sometimes you just have to use other methods that work as well. Most trim is original to these older cars and not taken off for decades... Just be patient and have a delicate hand and it will come off. Keith 2guys how2

Yeah, just be patient and take your time...it will come off...even a little spray oil can help loosen those old corroded clips. Keith 2guys how2

No, problem...just clean everything good with rubbing alcohol and check for rust spots..scrap, sand, primer and paint anything that looks like a problem where the windshield will sit and glue.. Keith 2guys how2

As far as parts..we use Google to research names and pictures of parts..then use Ebay mostly, Amazon on occasion and other smaller reputable online companies..to buy parts and research exact part numbers, then match numbers, before we buy. Why didn't you show us the hardest part, the lower trim?

The lower trim comes off the same way..they do sell a tool that works on the clips, specifically designed for these older windshields. Just take your time, be patient and be careful...the trim will come off and you can then proceed to fixing any issues with the windshield or most times..its rusty frame that swells and makes the window leak. Most times it's the fresh air intake...the bottom of fenders get clogged with debris and water leaks in on floor..also, fresh air floor vents with pull handles that come out on the left and right side interior kick panels that leak, from dried seam sealer or dried rubber mastic seals. I always check those areas first..clean them and hose everything down real good and look for leaks. Keith 2guys how2
